  1. Had a stone fly up from oncoming car and put the first chip in my new windscreen. Lovely.
  2. This may sound strange but after noticing this problem and not using the seat heating. The car seems to run better and not had the hot start issue or pulsing engine at idle. Might just be a coincidence. I wonder if the seat was somehow draining the electricity
  3. The wire i used was 25amp 2mm sq 28/30 This: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/product.php/975/25-amp-2mm-sq-28-0-30
  4. Bought it or stole it?
  5. You can push the terminal pin out with the correct tool and just replace the pin, might be neater than cutting off the plug
  6. Reverse switch on gearbox started leaking oil. Heated seat burnt itself and my arse.
  7. i know i have one lying around, not sure on condition but i can dig it out.

Do they go straight onto a corrado vr? Got pics of each wheel condition? And would you be up for a courier?
  9. Oh crikey i see what you mean. They do rust around the edges of the mounting bits, so worth checking the whole thing over.
  10. Is it a VR6? The mount can be unbolted and replaced. Its made of alloy so not straight forward welding
  11. Nice one, i need to be a member to view link though, will sign up later on. Mine are recaros so they sound suitable. Am just a bit unsure if because it mentions corrado they will be a silly price compared to aftermarket stuff. Seen these type of kits http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pairs-Carbon-Element-Heated-Retrofit/dp/B006H2BVLC
  12. Been googling and looks like you can buy kits to turn non-heated seats into heated ones, I may just look at buying some elements and replacing all of them, not sure they need to be corrado specific and cost 4x as much as they should  Think i'm going to have to get a professional to look at the leather and see what can be done, i always think brand new trimmed leather doesn't look as good as well aged stuff and will stick out like a sore thumb if i just get one bit replaced.
  13. Had noticed a really hot spot on my arse while driving the other day with heated seats on. Just looked and it looks like something got very hot and had burnt a hole into the leather. About a 15cm round spot. Guess I'll have to take seats apart to look. Are the elements a part i can renew?
  14. Pic of it out the garage for a change, took it to work yesterday Missing some bits, but mostly complete
  15. I just like to say a thanks for making me feel young
  16. Had it on mine and it was the brake fluid cap, try unplugging the sensor on top of the lid.
  17. I just fill mine slowly through the header tank, run engine with cap off (also told to turn heaters on, but i can't see how that changes anything), then put cap on when the coolant level starts rising up. Then check it after each of a few journeys.
  18. Happy Birthday... I decided it was such a nice day, i drove home at lunch and swapped cars so got corrado to drive home in. (will go the long way)
  19. I'd run the wires as much as possible, especially the ones from fusebox that go over to passenger side, also quite a lot of the wiring runs over the top of the heater box so would position that before fitting the dash. I thought about mine before refitting and still ending up having to take dash off about 3 times

I used mainly dinitrol products https://dinitrol.co.uk/ClassicCar.aspx The inner wings (on car chassis) are covered in quite a thick layer of rubbery stonechip and then painted bodycolour, so unless yours is damaged i would leave as much of that on as possible. Worth testing all the products first, as i had trouble with some thing not drying over the top of the existing stonechip. I'd chisel off any areas that look odd (its hard to tell where the rust is underneath as the stonechip is so thick), treat the rust and then try to build up the rubbery stone chip again. Then you could add a hard wax over that. Or just paint it.
  21. I think people just use the early top mounts and early spring plates instead of the late ones, am sure i was told you can use early spring plates with late top mounts, but i'm not totally sure its correct. I found the later plates and later mounts seem to sit better but you would need different springs, H&R make ones to suit late cars. Thats what i've settled with, after about 6 lots of suspension
  22. I don't think they do as it comes up quite often on here with the eibachs especially. I had the same thing with the first lot of springs i fitted to mine. They were weitec ones.
  23. As long as my taxes are the ones paying for chinnoks then i feel ok about it.
