  1. I saw that earlier and wasn't sure what it was, has he made the whole badge or just put the red on it?
  2. Noticed this on my VR since getting it back. Starts gets from cold, but when warm, say i've stopped and popped into a shop and then come back out. Car can take more cranking to start and when it does it slowly splutters into life, giving it a quick tap of the throttle helps get it up to a proper idle. Could this be fuel pump related? Its about the only thing left to change.
  3. I know. Some dealerships you go to still think it's a scirocco. At least you know stealth have seen a corrado or a vr6 engine before.
  4. and imo, Stealth receipts look good in the service history
  5. I know the trouble you're having, i ended up getting my original refurbished by a company called past parts, still cost about £100 though.
  6. Welcome back mate, all is forgotten. Good luck with the hunt for a corrado
  7. See if it's much cheaper without the head work. Unless there are signs it needs it. My 220,000mile head wasn't too bad at all really when i took it off. It has to be skimmed if removed. Not really sure what they do to the head for £1550 all in. That's a reasonable price for just doing clutchs and chains. Could be £400+ in genuine parts to do clutch and chains.
  8. I know you can buy corrado ones new on ebay or eurocarparts. Made by TRW. They come with the slider pins and boots as well.
  9. I thought the outside edge of the caliper might be a bit further out if the pad was thicker. Did lots of work, pretty much replaced the whole car
  10. Have seen people make them from kunifer/cupro nickel like the brake pipes.
  11. Are there two different pads for the 288mm conversion, Reason is i've had them on for years without any issue. But after my recent work they now catch the wheel weights very slightly, have had to pull the weights off and remount them as far towards the wheel face as possible and still they slightly catch. Started to wonder if its because its new discs and pads and maybe a thicker pad than i had before. Meaning the calipers are pushed slightly further outwards. I think just driving and wearing the pads down bit will sort it out.
  12. A 2007 Audi A4 Cabriolet, but had to modify them to fit properly.
  13. Nah, i didn't want to remove it and thought the same, that it might catch and pull the lining off, so i used a black dye and brushed it on. Didn't come out great as i didn't clean it well enough. Think i even brushed on some black leather paint as it came out a little greyer than the new lining. Looks ok though with a difference in colour. Changed the visors for audi ones. Just realised you can't really see the sunroof in my pics.
  14. Got mine from here: http://www.as-trim.co.uk/ Used the black foam backed stuff and went on a treat, had never attempted to trim something before but it all went pretty much perfect on the first go. http://www.as-trim.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_200_201&products_id=387 I actually have loads of the material left, enough to do another 2 headlinings.
  15. If you wrap some electrical tape around the unit you can wedge them in, not great but does work. Did it with my electric window switch as well
  16. I could do with some shoes and a pair of air max.
  17. Happy Christmas fellow corrado fans.
  18. I'm terrible with bikes, they all look exactly the same to me and i can't tell one from another. All i can say is that has a big red R on it so must be good
  19. There is definitely a bulb in it. I remember breaking mine and having to replace it. My car at the moment seems to be missing lots of dash lights, Can't see coolant temp on dash at night, none of the heater controls are lighting up and a few others. Meaning to sort it over winter, i just put it all back together as wanted to drive it at least once this year before winter set it.
  20. Am just looking at wiring diagrams and the blue/brown wire shows up at the following: -Dimmer control on headlight switch -Radio -Cassette storage light -Fresh air control -Foglight switch -Cigarette Lighter -Oil pressure gauge light In fact looking at the diagram any button that lights up So probably a spare
  21. Been given these today from a guy at work, i may try to watch them over xmas, see what all the fuss is about.
  22. I wasn't even born by then  Never really appealed to me, every time i've seen a little bit of one its people in a spaceship pretending to "nail it wookie" or whatever they say or just chaos in a big warehouse with a lot of pretend laser noises.
  23. Keep an eye on it, am sure i've seen someone do similar and once warmed up it fatigues with the sucking action.
