I thought oil coolers didn't kick in until the oil is up to temperature?
-
What can I use it on then?! ;)
-
Yeh that sounds like a classic case of Corrado-fever. What is it about these cars that makes us do these silly things?
-
I've got a can of 'gunk' in the garage reserved for a day when I can be bothered to do the engine bay. Do you just cover up the electrics with plastic bags then?
-
kev, didn't you order about 50 litres only a few of months ago..? Do you bath in it or something?! ;)
-
Saw a trailer for that program, looks like it might be good :)
-
AAC (encoding Apple use) is better for that, I don't find a loose any bottom end really (probably more noticeable on a really expensive hifi!).
-
I've done done 1200 miles in 3 days in mine, Rados get a bad rep, they are high maintenence sometimes but they will go on and on as far as miles are concerned. Mine has done 129k.
-
Yeh sounds about right. I wonder would any Recaro owners have paid £500 less for their car without Recaros..?
-
Beats 3k but you have nothing to be sad about mate.. all those valves! Are you still 'lovin it' ?! :)
-
The parts are about £250 Labour £570 So that's £820 but i'll have a load of parts to sell after for probably £200 so all in about £600ish.

As far as the gulping goes take a look at this topic & see if you think it's the same thing or not... Pay close attention to RW1's post. :) http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27154

There is a line of plastic running down the middle of the handle that pops off and reveals the screws.
-
LOL - Even the cat looks like he/she wants one!
-
I think the grey ones look good in certain colour cars red, yellow... But otherwise it's all about black. :)
-
double-6s, yes & yes, :)
-
I've been saying this all along. I've never sat in a Recaro but i've been on some long journeys in my standard seats and they have stayed really comfy throughout, comfiest car seats i've ever sat in I reckon.. Still, not knocking Recaros just saying that there's definately nowt wrong with the satandard ones.

Could be the spring catching on a worn spring plate then suddenly flicking round to correct itself and clunking, mine did it until I got new shocks & springs. Does it do it when steering only one way or both?
-
Sounds like wheel bearings in that case, I had an kind 'scratching' noise that occured once for every wheel revolution, it was a bearing.
-
Hard to tell without hearing the noise. Could be the CAT heashield's come loose & reverberating. Does it happen at a specific rev range/speed..?
-
Seems that 40p a mile is fair enough if you drive a cheap little runnabout but for Corrado's it's a bit more, but then it's our choice to drive these machines.. :)
-
Listen to her as well, very good. Have you heard of Alice Russell?? Very very good, done vocals for some of the Quantic/Quantic Soul Orchestra stuff, amazing soul/funky voice. 8)
-
My girlfriend gets 40p per mile but she drives a Ford Ka which costs about half as much to run as a Corrado!
-
Dude, there is a thread specifically for exhaust discussion here. HTH

 Yeh, I was just humoring you... :)
