  1. cant blame you for trying but i think its pretty optimistic to believe that the bids on the other auction were anything like genuine...
  2. will be out driving in the cold later so will let you know what mine manages
  3. welcome to the forum, glad you loved the car but yes, you really need another drive of it. i'm surprised why would you want to change up if you didnt feel you were in the power band yet? that would be a clear reason not to change up yet surely? if you haven't taken it above 3k then you really havent experienced it at all unfortunately. they are a little bit flat at the bottom end - between 3.5-5k is where the fun (and the noise we all love) is - but then that is the same with most petrol cars? it is a little too old an engine to be very torquey at the bottom despite it being 2.9l. also lots of them pull to the left a little, its no big deal unless you can look around the battery area and find evidence of previous knocks that might have been repaired badly.

  7. yup, should sort the old men from the boys :)
  8. yeah, i've let mine run right down the last 2 times out of curiosity to almost see how far it will go - pump is making much more noise now so i've been out for a new filter today just in case!
  9. i think Kip's saying he wants it back under any circumstances so they've put a price of £630 on it for the salvage which comes off the £4k they would give him if they kept it as a write off.

i'd have thought you'd even need them flared, and quite a bit, not just rolled. ie. it would definitely need paint work afterwards
  11. yup, thats what made me look it up after mine arrived this week ;)
  12. have moved this to engine bay so you get the answer to the first question first. if you need one afterwards then you can always do a post in the wanted section. hope you get it sorted out.
  13. Not sure if people had seen it before? Rotrex supercharged as standard too! :) http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2010/ ... 200cc-vr6/ http://www.mslmagazine.co.uk/news/the-h ... full-story
  14. do you mean you want it to look different to how the supplying dealer would make them now? or doesnt the dealer exist anymore? will move to supplier forum too :salute:
  15. yes, the reason for being told you need a good donor car is that if you want to properly recreate a VR with widetrack/5stud etc then you'll need all those suspension/subframe bits. if you're going to keep it narrow track and 4stud then you need custom driveshafts etc as the front layout is different between the two types.
  16. pinched from another forum - i lol'd [youtube:3amxizy4]lqJDuZIcQ34[/youtube:3amxizy4]
  17. or in the slam panel strip all the way across
  18. which edge of the lights would you have them on? part of me thinks along the bottom would look ok if matched with HIDs or the blue bulbs you get these days, part of me doesnt :D
  19. thanks for the extra detail. there were some big gaps in your first post maybe where you'd intended to put the pics but i closed it up as there was nothing in the gaps.
  20. are you just an individual trader then? do you have a company name that people can see a bit more about you or do you have any link with the people that make the hoses? also, how do you take payment? how much is postage? just a few questions that I think people will ask. thanks also, moving to suppliers as this is not a group buy as far as i can see.
