Bang on Karl, buy a decent VR for about £2500 and whack a low mile 24v in it...... now that sounds like a plan I could entertain! :) extra valves, boost, so many options!! :D
-
woohoo, great news laura.. bout time you got her moving so you can get some brake dust all over those nice white wheels :D
-
ah, congratulations fay! glad i don't have to wonder what package it was that you and judith had got your hands on any more! :)
-
had a good review, liked most things about it, apart from boot, rear view and borrowed bits of dash. said it was exciting to drive & basically made the 3dr gti obsolete.

fourseasontuning in the US does them for a good price if you're not in a hurry bill
-
i used the same ones for my 17" rxIIs so I'm sure you'd be fine
-
keep an eye on the nurburgring trip threads, there may be a few pics of a scirocco showing up on there too..... :)
-
that turn is also a really big dip and if he went into it at 100mph in a citroen then then he'd have had massive weight transfer over to the drivers side as he turned the wheel and it will have just pulled him round. agree though, very impressive save although more down to luck than skill i suspect! :)

had mine fitted a couple of weeks ago and very happy with them but just thought I'd mention to anyone who is yet to fit theirs that Kev's concerns above are absolutely valid. the non-contact area of the discs does indeed go nice and rusty and I'll be having to clean that off and paint them on the car soon before winter starts.

scirocco needs a serious drop in comparison, looks like farm machinery lol! not sure that white is its best colour though, darker ones (although maybe not black) hide the slightly weird rear and tail proportions better than white does.
-
if you fancied a project vince said yesterday he'd let the storm he inherited go for £2.5k, needs some tlc but you'd manage that i'm sure Andy :)
-
the guy who sells them sometimes on here is torsten, send him a pm :)

-

-
hmmm, nervous now, waiting for mine too.. may just get on the phone..
-
certainly not less than 5 anyway, thats what it would cost someone to recreate if not doing it themselves i reckon.
-
edited - above clarified!

not seen your car since santa pod last year chris but i'd think £6k with sorted suspension and the wheels you've got etc.. got to be at least £2k of value in the conversion i reckon.

exchange rate is determined by the method you use to pay junkie. basically, if you dont have a means of paying locally in dollars, then whatever financial institution you pay through (bank, creditcard, paypal etc) will charge you their exchange rate at the time of the transaction. -
there was a group buy on the vr6OC recently at that price. normally you can get them for about 210-215 delivered.
-
yeah, its listed on here too
-
you just have to try a few of them (no there arent that many so may mean a bit of a trip but how often will you be going?). I rang 3 asking for an account under the guise of the corrado club of gb (as dinkus did). 1 turned me down, 1 referred me on to a closer branch (croydon) and they were the ones that finally said yes. i guess we shouldn't try to get more than one account per branch using that method as it will probably seem a bit obvious.. but I'm sure that those who have got something set up are happy to get stuff for anyone else? cheers John

kerching!! on the back of these new memberships we can look forward to next year's all expenses paid agm in the british grand prix hospitality area  seriously though, great news and will hopefully do a lot to help promote and prolong the appeal of the car. well done chaps and chapess!
