  1. is that another sat-nav error taking you into the rough there?! :D looks very tidy though - low is good when you're not off-roading!
  2. well yes, its probably not got its own sensor but rather will tap into the light circuit as you say - i had an issue with my alarm refusing to arm when my boot light wasn't successfully going out after the hatch was shut. seems strange for water to get that far in though, especially if you've cured the rattly looseness?
  3. awesome gti sell the neuspeed one or dubpower does them too
  4. looks pretty good already to me! really deep colour in the paint :salute:

    Best Tyre Size

yeah, the offset is a bit too low really and the profile too high so getting a narrower lower profile tyre should sort you out :)
  8. fairly certain all obd 1 heads are the same, but also 2.8 VRs pop up every week or 2 on ed38 or VR6OC or ebay and are not normally more than a few hundred..
  9. if i can find my polling card i will! nicely off-topic now aren't we!!
  10. there's plenty of other parties that are against further immigration but that aren't historically racist! nothing against you personally but UKIP, English Democrats etc. all take a more conservative view without being dangerously right wing !!
  11. lol, i wasn't being very serious, it was just the thought of struggling(/smoking :)) away from the lights with the storm/vr6 badge still on the back that just seemed wrong! :)
  12. i would seriously worry about putting an engine that cannot even make 60 in under 10 seconds into a storm.. i think everything else on it would swiftly and repeatedly break in protest
  13. i think the wheels would look very strange with anything much larger than 205 Mic. the crappy Dunlops i have already have quite bulgy sidewalls and therefore give an inflatable rubber ring effect which i hate - i think if you went wider then you would only suffer from something similar, if not worse.. also, i would think you would lose rigidity and safety of the tyre if the tread was "overhanging" the rim itself, but then i'm no expert!! :)
  14. i know the fact that filling up with super at £70 per tank has led to me deliberately driving at or even below the limit on long journeys in order to get better mpg.. even though I am very skint, i seriously never thought that i would do that as it basically defeats the point of having a performance car.. am looking forward to having a job again soon!! :)
  15. yes there's definitely a difference, no i cant tell you what it is, but yes get in on the VR6OC GB as its the by far best price i've seen for the UK kit :D

    VR rebuild or not?

Vince has quoted 750 + Vat for a head rebuild (including fitting afaik) and 1400 incl. for clutch, chains and head rebuild.
