Hi Del, Hope you are Ok! Theres also a how to guide on the ccgb technical forum with some great pics for reference :)
  3. Hi Adz, The couple who were flooded were getting broadband installed on the 29th of sept at their rented place so am guessing it'll be a week or so from now really till she catches up with everything. Keep an eye on the club site in the news section for updates! :) Thanks for your patience.
  4. And I totally agree Matt, Please though let me point out that these are quotes to me from other people who dont use pc's that much if hardly at all so and i have spoke to quite a few over the last year or two. However I have always given encouragement to people with this kind of keyboard fear as i think the forum is a truly excellent place to be and the mods will see this kind of comment from a fair few of my posts rather than the opposite, but some folk will always be a little shy so i guess thats the reason the club forum is hidden rather than public to help encourage to use the club site this then in turn may very well give them enough confidence to join the CF after a short while too. For me the CF is the first place i look for any information as there's so many very hands on comments/posts/ & how to guides its an absolute must for anyone who drives a Corrado.

Hi Mate, Take a look at the Knowledge base on the front page as there is a how to guide on the job in question. i will be doing it too someday using the same guide as it looks pretty self explanetory? I think the hard part is removing some of the dash board bits. Good luck! :)
  6. Hi Mate, nice to see you back and hope to catch up with you soon!
  7. Congratulations Steve! Some great pics there and always a bonus when the lady's suggest this kinda thing :)
  8. Snap! put mine there too! Took K1PVW for a new alarm fitting yesterday mate and they were amazed at the condition of it then he saw the ring sticker and just pointed to it and said, you haven't have you!!!!!!!! :cuckoo: Made my day but i kind of agreed with him too  Indeed it does look swell and i think mine adds 22 Bhp

    Front hub removal

Hi Mate, Im doing exactly the same job on my 8valve. i took off the splash guard (well actually it fell off it was so rusty) This then left me just enough room to drill the snapped bolt still remaining by drilling it out by gaining access via straight through one of the holes in the ABS ring. I have used a 5mm drill to do this and it has worked a treat although all i need to do now is chisle a bit more of the left over bolt out and then tap it out with the required 6mm tap which i need to buy tomorrow  then hopefully job done. However i'm not sure if the size of the hub flange is much bigger on the VR6 but if its the same size you will just be able to gain access the same way! Good luck. If you are not reusing the sensor just tap it around a little and it should come out ok as mine did exactly the same so it pays to wiggle it a little
  15. Yeah we did wonder about them! maybe something to ask the Committee at the next AGM Dave :norty:
  16. Ah Cheers for that Steve, had a good surf around and they seem quite highly thought of so decided to get some ordered. Cost inc delivery was £203 for all four, and yes they are indeed Gas as you thought! will post up how they feel if i ever manage to fit them. Have hopefully ordered all the right bits from the dealers to do the job proper too! Must get me one of those ETKA things as it'd be handy for looking at all the bits and part numbers  First time for fitting suspension for me but if you dont try you never know
  17. Hi Guy's, As Tempest says Vicki is having a bit of a tough time at the moment but she has assured me that it will only put things back for a week or so maximum! :notworthy: Also ebby and anyone else awaiting activation, if you are having trouble getting acces to the members section or indeed unable to actually pay PM (crazydave) on here for a quick word as he is the chap with the required button :D He's in Germany for another day or so though so hang in there a day or 3! Glad you like the welcome pack too! and please feel free to send anything you may like to include in the magazine to the Sprinter Editor (Jim) on here too. Catch you soon. Kip.
  18. Hi All, Well the dampers on the 8v are past their best and I wondered if anyone had these Bilstein B4 units fitted to their car? They are used as a direct replacement for the standard shocks and are supposed to be 20% firmer than factory ones too! I Will be using the standard springs too as i like the JCB ride height and you need it around Sheffield  An opinion would be nice if possible. Kip. :?
  19. The Magnex sound is as divine as can be  and they look like new 6 years down the line too!
  20. Couple of pics added, need to sort out the noisey starter motor now :/
  21. Had a few hours tinkering with the Satin today and managed to sort the ABS light which was constantly on! Bought 2 front sensors off the bay so fitted those and WHAHEEEY! the light goes out  only cost £25 for the pair too so was quite chuffed about that. Also got the rear washer squirting again as it was blocked up, I stuck my bike pump over the nozzle and pumped a few times then took it off and stuck a pin in the hole then pumped it again and so on for five or tem minutes and WHEEEEEEEE! we have water coming out. Guess it hadn't been used for a while and got blocked up. Then gave it a wash for being good  I Like my silver Corrado :luvlove:
  22. Hi Vaughan, Next time i see the covers advertised i'll go round sheffield collecting some to sell on as there's 4 around here but the stores only seem to have 2 0r 3 covers each for some reason  It was the one i used while we were camping at prescott if you remember?
  23. Hi Mate, I use an outdoor fully waterproof/dustproof/breathable etc on mine when its in the garage as it offers better protection anyway. Its fleecy lined too and i picked it up from Netto for £10  they come around every so often so keep an eve out
  24. Well only one and a half more sleeps left so did a few jobs on K1PVW, Put my old headlights back in with euro deflectors, checked all the levels and the tyre pressure's checked all the lights too and loaded up the CD changer but that may change tomorrow night for another selection as i cant decide what to take to listen to  Also packed the camping gear too. I think i need a trailer Lol!
