A link to fix your heater..... http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm
-
ABS related problems are common,so get it plugged into Vag Com,Items like wipers and fan blowers get used most of the cars life in the UK ,so expect high wear. The Heater motor on speed fan will just be the resistor that has popped. As for the wipers check contacts on the stalk, not to sure why its stopped on high speed. Its a Corrado.... #Edit VR6 Got there first....

Check the earth connections on your lights, that usually causes that type of faults. -
Could the battery be to blame for no start even if it cranks
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
i thought it was 9.6 Lol  -
I had this problem when i bought my springs, the loop at the top of the front springs are larger ,as for swapping your kit over you might have to buy early top mounts to suit.

I would not recommend using WD40 as a lubricant,Most poly V belts are powdered from new as lubrication,WD40 will just remove that and make the rubber soft and sticky. The noise might be from the belt running dry against the pulleys. I would bin the belt, clean off ALL the pulleys with brake cleaner, sprinkle Talken Powder on the pulleys to dry up any left on WD40 and then refit the new belt. Also sprinkle some more powder on the belt while its running.

Car going in for MOT... good luck needed!!!!!
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to corradorocks's topic in General Car Chat
Yea I've done that, but I mainly work with commercial vehicles,so not all data is on the system so you have to tell it all the details(dropside.pickup, crewcab, lwb, swb, elwb ect),when we do get cars (not very often) it picks the reg and chassis number straight away. Im sure when the year passes and all data has been entered from previous tests it will pick up everything off reg...I hope  Im used to the system now but thanks anyway. :thumbleft: -

CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to corradorocks's topic in General Car Chat
You would think so  Mainly its for model /type.(l,ls,gt,gti,rs ect) As most cars have no badges on the rear now,so you have no model engine size ect. Then it asks you for engine number ! yea right you'll never find that ! -

The new computerization is an ongoing improvement, when the V5 is asked for its to identify Date of registration(the exact date) which is needed and to identify the model as not all testers know the model of the vehicle thay are testing. If your vehicle fails on minor items ie-bulbs,tyres,wipers ect its a fast pass and no need for a full retest. Any mechanical work that has been done needs to have a full MOT retest to check for anything that has been disassembled and reassembled correctly or if the customer brings it back the next working day it can be a fast pass retest.(depends on the work carried out) Not all garages charge for full retest its there discretion. They have to input on the computer "repaired by VTS" to get past this. Glad its passed. :thumb right: Oh and im a tester  -
This is Gibber's gallery! and this bickering should be left out.
