http://www.sempal.co.uk/SPAL_CANbus_interfaces.htm This is what you need, there are a few others out there on the market if you google it but this seems to be the best. Have a look at the '24V into a corrado thread' in the engine section, I've made a PIN out table, would appreciate it if you can add to it at all?

The Corrado has passive rear steering, achieved via allowing lateral movement in the rear beam. This is done by allowing the rear rubber bushes to stretch laterally (sideways across the car), as well as torsionally (to allow suspension movement). The problem with the powerflex rear bushes is that they actually allow the rear beam to slide on them, so basically they are like a slide fitting bush. The result is a more accurate pivoting action due to the harder compound, and as they are only a pivot, they don't really contrubute to noise and vibration travel. Basically they reduce eccentric axial movement in the rear bushes. The BIG downside is that the rear beam can now slide freely sideways with no resistance, and you lose the self centring of the rubber stretching back to a central position in line with the fronts wheels, so you can find that the rear wheels are offset to the fronts!!! Allowing such free movement of the rear beam also results in a back end that snatches out of line. The standard bushes give a resistance allowing for a more progressive and slower weight shift. In all there is very little benefit to be gained from the harder bushes, but a lot of downside..... This should be taken into consideration when looking at your rear suspension struts too- where they bolt to the rear beam. The original legs have rubber bushes there to to allow for the lateral movement. A lot of suspension kits dont allow for the sideways movement by having solid bushes where you mount the legs. I installed the poly bushes a while ago, just because the old ones were shot. What I have ended up doing is packing either side of the bush to stop the lateral movement altogether (and therefore passive rear steering) until i put new originals back on...... As you can predict the back end does not come round as before and I have more understeer :( , but with the poly bushes on and no packing it made the rear end far less progressive and more on/off!!! Not good. You wont really notice it unless you are really pushing the car round corners though, but at that point watch out :?

Everyone needs to own an Integra at some point. Here's a clip from EVO on there 'best front wheel drive of all time' 21 car shoot out test jobbie, won by the Integra... "It's a car as sweet and all consuming as any I've experienced at any price, and as pure and focused in it's own way as any Porsche RS. Forget the accolade of greatest front wheel drive car. The Integra Type'R ranks as one of the truly great drivers' cars of all time" If you own one for just a small period you'll see what they are on about. I really wish I still had mine, but I had to to pay to replace the engine my bloody Corrado, which would be worthless if I had tried to sell it fecked. Gone on think about it some more  , that's not saying that an Ibiza isn't a good car, but why go for a normal car when you can have a great one? Also an Integra won't deppreciate.

Rack Part Numbers out of my VW Parts Club book.... Polo 1H2 422 061CX £258.75 Golf 3 Gti* 1H2 422 061AX £413.43 Golf 3 not Gti* 1H2 422 061 X £258.75 Corrado VR6 1H2 422 061 AX £413.43 * also use >92 (>>1HN002449) Shaft 1H2419 952 B £107.81 So basically all the models use a very similar shaft to the Corrado one ( There is also this (retail £311.90) which has not been refurbished (ie brand new), looks prettey much identical to the Corrado rack, used on Caddy's 6K2 422 061CX, been on ebay for a while now......don't want to buy it but thought I might pop it in http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Vento-Pol ... dZViewItem

Right, sorry I was chucked off the computer by the missus for a bit... having just looked at the pics, I think that could look spot on with a bit of jiggery pokery 8) , I think i would have to photoshop some silver ones onto the Corrado to see for sure but I simply don't have the cash at this instant to spend money on it (I'm half way through a 3.2 24V engine swap which is costing :? ), I just wanted to know if it was possible for future which I now know it is. Thanks for the reply's....If you still have them in a month or so Darren, I'll probably have them off you then!!!

God, that could have been a bad accident time if you were on the motorway or something, glad your not too badly injured though and you can get back int he car...... I had a burning experience with my Corrado top hose bursting as I opened the bonnet after a run, lost most of my layers of skin on my right arm and all over my stomach/chest as I wasn't wearing anything on top....burns really hurt man, especially when it isn't bad enough to burn off the nurve endings.....

It was an S reg, in red...

I would need 5x120 to 5x100, but surely it's the offset that would be a no no, especially after the adapters have been put on....Cheers for the advice, I'll offer one up and have a peek...

Over the past five years, Corrado ownership has cost me a wopping 7.5K, Integra Type R ownership has cost me 1.5K, although I've done 55K in the Corrado and only 38 in the Integra. Both are now on 130K ish. The Integra is a better car in just about every respect, and I did sell my Corrado because I thought it just wasn't worth the hassle.....then I had to bought it back off the bloke I sold it to because I missed it so much.... He was very understanding and it had already broken down on him so he wasn't too hesitant... Sell it and buy a low mileage example maybe? I've just sold my Integra though, and I miss the engine noise massively, but it is paying for my 3.2 conversion which should sound just as good

does anyone make adaptors for 5x120? I've never seen any.....Oh well, I'll stick with the RX's for now...
-
Has anyone ever put a set of these on a Corrado? These are my favourite BBS wheels and wondered if anyone has a photo of them on a Corrado? Reckon they would look sweet. 8)328i bbs alloys.jpg[/attachment:217becrg]

Lots of people recommend using the original Corrado bushes to retain the qualities of the moving rear axle, I had poly's in mine for the past few years, all it's done is make the back a bit more nerveous/twitchy so I personally wouldn't reccomend them. I'm changing them this month.....

Is there any difference between the LHD and RHD standard ones other than the lenses? If not then that would make sence because the aftermarket ones all use clear lenses.
-
Take the door card off, you'll see just what goes on then, the glass has probably come loose..No quick fix I'm afraid, can be fiddly.....
-
Vr6, the sound.
-
Surely they will therefore be set up for LHD over there? Probably why they are not sold over here....
-
Can you post a pic when they are done? Want to see what they look like....

Beat me to it!! yeah follow the links http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0192387504

Before you go buying the in-pro headlights, I can't remember who, but someone does make a very similar item but for the later spec grille etc, the in-pro's are for earlier spec and don't fit too well on facelift models. I'll see if I can dig them out somewhere.....hang on

Try the Gearbox, not the gearstick bud.
-
Just get new ones from VW, not that expensive!!
-
Why don't you just buy the 'black' version?
