  1. Pick one you like the look of I suppose.... :D
  2. Hi dutch, so does it throw up issues if you do have it?? But that's what it runs with as standard surely?
  3. Chris, Dutch is totally right about the force going through the gearbox casing, you'd be silly not to weld on an extra bit onto the front mount as he's done, it's a massive amount of force that passes through it on a hot sticky day with big tyres....
  4. The aux air valve is there to feed more oxygen into the exhaust pipe to make the CAT's hotter quicker (I believe) so I don't think it's very essential unless you worried about emissions or you cant package it then get the request codes deleted in the ECU and blank off the valve.
  5. How much for a set of doors/tailgate and bonnet? I don't think the front wings are worth the weight saving as they don't weigh much to start with. Very interested in as I looked at producing them myself (2004) but didn't get enough interest (on this forum actually!!) so didn't bother... Are the windows Lexan FMR? Would be up for them too if they are very lightly tinted as OE spec, and heated to shape, I don't think flat would work or look right.
  6. If it's been standing for a long time get the bores checked over.
  7. Just grip the head in a pair of pliers instead of trying to use the crosshead bit....Then put a thumb screw back in for next time.... :D
  8. RX's suit it more than any other alloy, but then I may be biased :D
  9. Really nice car buddy, loving the wheels, do they scrape at all? What suspension are you using?

    R32 engine

At least you know the price is fixed, I reckon that's not bad at all, having thought it would work out more expensive, almost wish I had done that now! (still ongoing) Fitting the engine is actually quite easy, as it's the same block more or less depending on how OE you want it to look. You can either buy the downpipe off storm developments or make your own up. Buy a tee for the oil sender, and swap your VR6 thermostat housing over, rear engine mount, customise the front mount bracket as Dutch has shown. If you don't mind having an induction kit then you have no problems as it has a nice bit of space over the g'box to sit in. Well worth it I think, especially given the performance & reliability, thats 300ish bhp without charging it. And it sounds great.

    Headliner Cleaning

I tried to clean mine with hot soapy water and it just left water marks because I'm a dufus :( and I'm not much good at cleaning. Can I get them out or are they there forever to remind me of my sheer incompetence?
  12. I think the long and short of it is, it could have been a lot worse. But that is quite steep just to change the serpentine. We've all been had at some point buddy, even by peeps on this forum :? but hey, you could always threat to tell the dealership if he doesen't do the brakes. They will not like him doing backhanders, but if I were you I'd steer clear, I wouldn't want a guy like that doing my brakes. Where abouts are you? I'll do them for you if you like, tis a relitavely easy job tbh.
  13. Sorry Carl buddy, forgot you'd done it too, how is it for everyday driving?
  14. Although a bad concept done well in America, only an English chav could make it trully sh!te. Bit like pimp my ride really...

    R32 engine

    It'lll end up more expensive.
  16. Just had all this done, it's almost not worth trying to get the compensator off until you have the beam off the car, if the heads go on the bolts, cut the heads off then slide the compensator off, and then work on them with heat etc......
  17. I wont ask about the removal of the ABS, but how are you going to MOT it? If the car was built with it, it must have it, or so I thought...
  18. I'll email you some exact dimensions etc so as not to hijack the thread...
  19. Hi Jon, they are lug mount, unlike most aftermarket brembos you see on here which makes spacing them out more difficult unfortunately but I can draw up an adapter, I'm more worried about them actually fitting inside the wheel I think!! You could get a 30mm disk on at a push. I'm going to ask Bruce who I got them off the dimensions of the RR Sport disk.

    R32 Brakes on a VR

looks like TT jobbies then, but I think perhaps the calipers are a bit too big for them :(
  21. I've just blagged some of these below off a Range Rover Sport brand new unused, but I now need to find some suitable disks and make up some fitting adapters. Is it possible to get R32 disks under 17" wheels? I know Phat had them on his but wasn't he using 18's?? Anyone?brembos.JPG[/attachment:j3wtcavy]
  22. Mind you, a lot of the Poles etc work really hard, which is more than can be said of many of the british pikeys who spend their whole life claiming.
  23. These should help me stop the car at least  And I got a new sump sent as a replacement for the cracked one :lol:brembos.JPG[/attachment:fqh5gdmc]
  24. To be fair, I think the only person who has done the conversion themselves who is still active on the forum is Dutch, and that's not a 3.2 it's a 2.8, so there isn't much help about!!
  25. Cant help but agree you there, it gets worse every day, I seriously consider emigration every time I travel to work/ see an English town on a Friday night :(
