  1. I am planning on going hopefully, its only an hour so will be go to stretch the legs of the Corrado. After its winter hibernation.
  2. When you checked the wiring, did you buzz it out with meter? Could be a break in the wire?
  3. Lovely car, got any stories or pictures to share from the day you bought it. I would have loved to own one of these from new, just not sure if I would have still had it now if I did though. Must have been very special for you to keep hold of this in such mint condition, for so long.

    That is some effort and money you will be putting in and if its done to high enough standard by god!! you will one hell of a sorted Corrado. I also like your thinking, in knowing that you might not get back what you put in. But do it anyway for the sheer passion of it. I take my hat off to you sir.
  5. Wayne, Was the engine running when you scanned the car for faults? as I am sure you will get the VSS error if you scan without the engine running. The stalling issue will various possible causes, as its going to be difficult just to say its this. The only way your going to rectify it is by eliminating possible causes one at a time. Its going to be difficult to sell the car, if it stalls. If it was me I would do the following. 1. Revert back to standard airbox, with the standard air filter (filter does not have to be genuine, and even a drilled air box will do) 2. Clean the MAF out, with some electrical cleaner (I think i have some) and Test car 3. If car still stalling, disconnect the MAF and Test car 4. Clean out the throttle body with carb cleaner. 5. Remove the FSE power boost valve and revert back to standard. Leave all other issues for now, and just tackle one at a time. As the saying goes 'Don't try and run before you can walk' One step at a time. Come down at the weekend with the car and I'll help you give it some TLC it deserves.
  6. Hi, Can you let me know what the part number is on the boost return pipe? Also do you know why the bit the attached to the supercharger, is half way up the pipe. Is this part broken or something?
  7. Hi Mike, Having Storm logo will not be a problem, as the font is the same. I'm just trying to get Corrado logo corrected with the supplier. Will PM everyone who as expressed interest when I start a start the group buy.
  8. I've just ordered some new wheel bolts, as piece of mind for myself and not to loose confidence in the car. That a wheel might fall of any moment due to weak wheel bolts.

  10. Sorry for bringing this back up, but this happened to me on Saturday and I'm just puzzled why. If Supercharged's theroy is correct, that is probably old metal then that's fine. But I'm just not sure if I should torque the rest of the old wheel bolts. I usually replace all bolts with new ones when working in the engine bay or the brakes. But I've never replaced the wheel bolts.
  11. The bolts you bought earlier are the carrier bolts, not calliper bolts.
  12. The reason the front only come with 2, is that if your just changing the pads you only remove the bottom bolt on the calliper and swing the calliper up to remove the pads. For the rears, you have to remove the calliper to wind the piston back in hence the 4 bolts
  13. Been trying to get the car ready for its MOT next Saturday and thought I would start by taking the storage wheels off and put my standard refurbished wheels back on. Got the first wheel off no problem, got the new wheel on everything things fine. Put the car back down on the floor, ready for torquing. Then thought I'll do one wheel at time so everything is done in that corner. So bust the torque wrench out and set it to 95Nm to start with. Go to torque the first bolt and snap!! WTF is what I thought, this can't be right. Checked the torque wrench and it set to 95Nm, the bolt is meant to go to 110Nm. So not sure how this could have happened, any inputs guys? I'm thinking maybe the metal in the bolts are fatigued or something. Had to take the calliper and disc off in the end to get the remaining bolt back out. Which at least came out easy enough with a pair of mole grips. Anyway carried on with changing the rest of the wheels, but just tightened by feel for now.   14. Hi Dox, Is that all you need to do just wedge the clutch pedal down and levave it over night? No need to open any bleed nipples or brake fluid cap?
  15. Finally had an update from the supplier, he is gong to send me some samples of the material used for the mats. For both the basic and high end mats and also the various binding they can do, I will pots up detailed pictures when I have them for you all decide if you would like to participate in a group buy or not. In the meantime, can you look over the embroidery of the logo and tell me what you think compared the the original. There are some definite differences, that might not be to everyone's taste.
  16. Check the plug behind the fuse box W and V connections are next to each other. The V connector is for the MFA, so as thats not working as well might be simple as both plugs not pushed in fully. This is just hoping it's as simple as that.
  17. Any chance you can flip that around so I can see how many contacts are on there. Still would like a picture of yours Tabbi to the colours of the wires going to it
  18. I'm no spoiler expert, but I think I can read wiring diagrams and have some knowledge on electronics. But your more the welcome, if you need hand looking at yours to. As they say two heads are better then one.

  20. To me it seems its not getting any signal from the VSS, did you say you have replaced the spoiler control unit already? Do you think you will be able to post a picture of the control unit with wiring going to it? As your wiring might be different to the diagram that i am looking at. You can also check the wire of pin8 of the unit could Blue/White or White Yellow, but on that pin and check that it goes to the back of the fuse box on the W/01 connector Some info on the fuse box side of things http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html
