1. Just had a thought, is your clutch pedal fully up when you ezzibleed? Maybe try to bleed it again, but hold the pedal up to start with.
2. Are they available online to view now Jim?
3. I think sometimes, we all know what the fault is in the beginning. But we just don't want to believe it, so we come on the forum asking a question to which we already know the answer of. LOL Or is that just me :-) Good luck with it, and let us all know how you get on.
4. From what your saying the master cylinder is the only mechanical part that's left, Its where I would put my money on. By the way where did this nightmare start from. Were you just trying to do a fluid change?
5. Are the older issues available to view online on the CCGB, as I wouldn't mind reading some of the older issues.
6. Okay so I didn't read about the pressure, I heard it from the manufacture of the kit. LOL I know the Corrado isn't 50years old, but always best to be safe.
7. I got that "Fluid did flow with eezibleed kit but only when clutch pedal was depressed", but that's not right. 19psi? that might have been to high, I know the max is 20psi on the instructions. I usually only put 10/12 psi through it, as I'm sure I've read that somewhere. I didn't realise the VR6 master cylinder doesn't have a bleed nipple? it does according to the parts catalogue, got a picture just to make sure we are on about the same thing. It does sound like master cylinder is faulty. Depending on how creative you want to get, you could connect some sort of hose from the reservoir straight to the slave cylinder. Then connect up the eezibleed and see if fluid is flowing out of the nipple, with no pressing of the pedal.
8. Handbrake cable part numbers from dealers 1H0 609 712E ECP 108440798 Steel Clips 1H0 609 734 D I found the hardest part of the job, getting the steel clips off. This will help. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3055220-DIY-Replacing-and-adjusting-e-brake-cables-on-a-MKIV-car
9. Like Supercharged has said, the fluid should flow on its own with the eezibleed kit. You shouldn't have to press the clutch pedal at all. How much pressure have you used with the eezibleed? Are you getting fluid out of the nipple on the clutch master cylinder, when the eezibleed is on.
10. Sounds like a great idea, also prefer a weekend
11. Maybe if you posted a picture of the rear callipers might help. Also if one calliper is coming on before the other with the handbrake, you might want to adjust the cables underneath the handbrake cover.
12. Well did this swap at the weekend, and it wasn't quite as straight forward as it seemed. Had to remove the plastic guide in front of the seat, as I couldn't slide the seat in. Also you cant adjust the seat forward and back sat in the car, as the leaver is on the other side. However you can adjust it from outside of the car. But it will do, whilst I get the drivers seat repaired and saves the hassle of buying one or borrowing one.
13. Agree with that, there is a lot going on with these cars and there ECU's plus various sensors all playing there part.
14. I would stick with the correct rated amp alternator for the car. If you want to save some money, why not have ago at rebuilding the original one. Loads of guides on the internet.
15. Install looks very factory, looking forward to seeing this in the flesh
16. Worn shocks or top mounts maybe. Is the vibration only at speed, and not whilst braking.
17. Well that's great news, will try it on the banks holiday hopefully. I'm not really fussed about the seat belt, as I will be only moving the car on the drive and then back in the garage.
18. Sorry for bumping this back up. But is this correct, as it will save me the hassle of borrowing a drivers seat. To get my bolster repaired. As I want to still be able to drive the car back in the garage, whilst the seat is getting repaired.
19. Looks interesting might adventure up myself.
20. Congrats, I want a ride in this please as well. It's going to be few sleepless nights til Sarurday.
21. Had great day today at Mike Brewer Motors. Edd and Mike are proper chilled out guys. Any way few pics from the phone, will post the others later on tonight. Mike even asked to buy the Corrado, but I think he says that to everyone. 22. Best get that toothbrush out then, lol. Nice work by the way, I would love to pull an engine out one day.
23. You do know the standard cable ties, can be opened quite easily or just pull them off. I didn't realise on the first one I did, so joint the pieces back together with another black cable tie.
24. I wouldn't have thought fitting a bigger radiator would have benefited anything, as it's the thermostat and rad fan switch. Which will govern how hot and cold things get. VW would have designed the radiator size to be most efficient for the size of the engine. Also the water pump, I would have thought would have some factor on efficiently things were cooling down The only benefit might be, if you couldn't find the standard radiator.
