Looking great, can't wait to see the final pics when it's all put together.

Why not start with some 13cm components for the front, and add some sound deading material to the back of the door pockets. To try and give the sound a little more punch. I also find if you try and seal the from of the speaker to the door pocket, with some foam type tape. You will achieve better sound quality.

Good video, and very interesting.

Looks like a nice example apart from the mentioned body work issues and at least it has a new few extras in the inside. Good luck with finding a new a job soon, so you can get back on track and continue with fixing the corrado.

Cant see them doing any harm, unless they snap off inside the sump. Or you could get a neodymium magnet off ebay, and stick it on the head of the sump plug. Probably do the same the thing.

Corrado G60 Temperature Gauge / Thermostat Issue
sankysvr6 replied to Willielowrie's topic in Engine Bay
http://www.partsbase.org/vw/corrado-cor-eu-1992-15-coolant-pump/ Looks easy enough to get to from underneath, its going to be a case of having a look and going from there. Sometimes you can get all worked up preparing yourself by reading stuff on forums. To only find there was not much to it in the end. -
Have a look at the stick guide futher up on here, for removing the supercharger. There is video at the end, which shows how to do it with a simple spanner.

Fuse might have popped, if it hasn't take the trim off the inside of the tailgate. And find the bow tie shape thing on the motor and pull it down. Then just wind the spoiler back down.
-
The leak looks like its coming from the auxiliary water pump.

Might be a good idea posting a picture of the inside of the silencer, for the experts to see how much oil is passing as some oil is normal I think. When was the charger rebuilt?
-
Did you not clean the pipe work and intercooler, before fitting the rebuilt charger? There may have been oil in the intercooler from before. Also with engine been wet with oil, could be the rocker cover gasket, or the gasket behind the charger bracket.

They look okay for some aftermarket cheap mats, I might get some for everyday use. Thanks

Actual what I said is rubbish, as I recall I had to send him a copy of my driving license and my log book to order a new key. How about stripping one of the door locks down to get the numbers off the tumblers
-
Hairyarse, any chance of posting a pic of the rear ones please.
-
My mate is the parts manger at VW, if you wanted to PM me the reg. I could ask him for you can't promise anything like. I remember I had to order a cut key for mine from Germany from him with reg number last year. He did say as long as none of the locks had been changed, it would be okay. Or have you phoned Vwheritage to see if they could help, as they must also have contacts at the dealers. Good luck
-
Ah I thought you had the old one already, and just needed a replacement. I'll get my coat.
-
Gutted for you mate, but at least you are okay which is the main thing. Hope you get it fixed if that's what you want to do with it, as it does look repairable if you can find the parts. Chin up

I take it this is a braided hose, of some kind? Have you tried the likes of Hel http://www.helperformance.com/create-your-custom-brake-hose.html

Nice Rally, would love to see some more pictures of the full line up.

Should be good to watch, this going to be the second corrado to be shown on fifth gear. When's wheeler dealers going to do one.
-
So I've got my pill key off ebay, I know these are not genuine. But I could do with a bit of help from the people that have the genuine ones. To me it seems the string in between is to long, anyone know how long it should be.
-
Thanks guys, I'm going to take a gamble on one of those pill keys from ebay for the G60.
-
Is the corrado key an AH or HV, or does it vary with year and model.
-
Are these for standard front calipers? As I don't think they have banjo bolts, might be a good idea to post a pic up

Stub axle dust caps . Can I get away without it ?

The one you have is for cars with no ABS. The shield is to stop crap flying and sticking on to your ABS ring. Are you sure the dealer does not have them in stock, as I bought a pair in March this year. 191501639B I'm sure they are used on other VW's
