  1. What I can make of the diagram, is that it goes VSS to the fuse box, from there it goes to the dash and the module. So even though the speedo works it could be a wire a miss at the fuse box end. One other thing to try, is trying lifting the spoiler with the switch, then go for drive and get over 45mph, and see if comes down by itself when you come to a stop.
  2. Okay been looking at the diagrams for this today, and I have also read the issues with the spoiler from the previous owner. There are only 2 wires that go to the spoiler itself. 1 is from the switch 1 is from the control module As you spoiler is only working with the switch, I would disconnect the radio and check. If still no joy, I would check the VSS which is on the gearbox with 3 wires on it Black wire should have 12v with ignition on Brown should go to ground White/Blue should go to back of the fuse box There are a couple of more wires that go to the back of the fuse box, that would we could check. But let us know your findings on the above.
  3. Tabbi, Have you tried anything yourself to fix the spoiler or are you just looking for pointers? If you haven't tried anything, the first thing I would suggest is try disconnecting the radio and see if that gets it working.
  4. Well spring is nearly here, and the Corrado is booked in for its MOT on the 28th of this month. Just hoping it all goes well at the test station so I can hopefully get it some shows this year and meet some you guys.
  5. Here Wayne, £3.79 for your NGK Sparkplugs http://gsparkplug.com/1x-ngk-copper-core-spark-plug-bkr5eku-3964.html
  6. They look good, and probably easier to fit since they already have a glued side on them. Unlike the U.S. items even though it's not difficult to fit just a bit more to faff about with. Post a picture up once fitted
  7. Kwik fit charge around £50 for an oil and filter change. And if your friendly with them, they will put your oil filter and oil in for about £30 You don't need to use a specialist for everything, brakes and oil changes can be done by any competent garage.
  8. I just wished you guys were closer. Kwik fit have all the right gear, but most of them have no idea and how to use the tools. The one near me has the hunter 4 wheel alignment machine, and all they seem do is tracking on it. I asked one of the guys about doing the camber on it, and how you can freeze the settings and lift the car to make the adjustments and he just seemed lost. Then goes on to say he just loosen the bolts on the bottom of the struts whilst its on the ramp and adjusts it that way. I just walked away
  9. Part number 037121053C You can order it from VW Heritage who will get it for you from classic parts £52.14. Might be time to look into a silicone hose upgrade.
  10. Wayne, that bulb you repairing what's on the end of the wire, is it a spade connector? As I'm sure all you needed was a new H3 bulb
  11. I wouldn't go that far saying the MK4 it's the best looking golf. But R32 is defiantly the best looking MK4 golf, straight out of the box
  12. Harry, what suspension you got on the Corrado now, might be interested? Also you do know, when you did the needle swap, that you could have just taken the gauge cluster off the VR clocks and swapped them over to your G60 clocks. Hence saving you the hassle of stripping the needles and faces off.
  13. Woah Sean!!! That's a great amount of information, wasn't expecting all that thanks. I've already got the corrado font, so just to print will print off a few sizes to match it up with your readings.
  14. Once I get the details to the supplier, I think they can do pretty much any colour you want. Think I will be going for the anthracite colour which a dark grey almost like the original carpets that are in the car. If others are interested please let us know, as I might be worth pursuing a group buy.
  15. I think fault lies between the sensor and the ECU, if everything else is working. Like fla, said the sensor sits on top of the gearbox. I'll have look at the wiring diagram tomorrow for you. To see how it's it wired if I can find it.
  16. Is everything working as it should?
  17. Use APC diluted 10:1 in a spray bottle. A bucket of warm water and a microfibrer cloth. Spray on the roof lining to give it a light mist, let it sit there for a few minutes. Wring out much water as you can from the cloth, then wipe the headlining in straight lines # Rinse the cloth in the bucket of water and repeat with wiping the same section of the roof lining. If the water starts getting to dirty, change the water Try and break it down in 4 sections, so that it's not all damp at once. You can do the same method even if it's inside the car. For APC, I use Megs APC or Daisy from tesco which is cheap but I guess any decent APC cleaner will do.
  18. This is so true, all the awesome cars are up north 'wink wink' But yeah you do have to travel for the right car, as there are not many decent ones left. Just make sure you get detailed pictures of any areas of concern, and always get current pictures not from when it was looking its best. If the seller is genuine they should supply these no problems. Because once you've committed to go view it, you've really almost bought it already.
  19. Rear lights look good, did you have them professionally done? Have you got a roundabout in your garden, that's well cool if you have. LOL
  20. Got a picture of them? And you could help out with this if they are like these in this thread. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=90250
  21. MZPog, I will post the supplier details up once they have confirmed. May be could try a group buy if can get enough numbers together. Cheers Wayne, I will PM. But I'm sure he will read this soon, as he's often on here as much I am.
  22. Just had a thought I would probably need the measurements for the passenger side mat as well.
