  1. Sounds more like master or slave cylinders have gone...
  2. Ben, know you are local-ish to me... search out BJV (the wheel place) there's a body shop up by them that may be worth giving a go? They did the wet-spray on my 928's and was really very good! And sorry can't remember what they were called! :(
  3. BAlly was using a Storm one from memory...
  4. Or it seems a recovery company who give a Rat's Ass about his car, dragging it in Gear and wiping muddy hands all over the insides!
  5. Click Meh Love the fact the recovery driver "washes" his hands.... in a muddy puddle!
  6. Just e-mithered asking for more details.. ;)
  7. OK, but did you also replace the windscreen scuttle clips and seals? Of just use Mastik/Silicon? :brickwall:
  8. Love teh "Ground clearance" shot... # yeah ok 6" but you showing that on a 4x4 FFS! Imagine if you were running a Rado with coilies, at least you'd look cool getting out of the car when it beaches itself on the first speed hump! :gag: Best left to Drug dealers, Rappers, Footballers and Eastern European "Builders" :epicfail:
  9. Bumpage as there seem to be a couple of "wet carpet" threads running...
  10. See told you! Foliage seal and new N/s windscreen trim clips and seals for me this weekend! part number for foliage seal? Quick link to a quick link... Ordered Seal, as well as the clips and grommets for the N/S windscreen plastics as these can leak too! Was told when I ordered that it would be 3-4 working days ATM though
  11. See told you! Foliage seal and new N/s windscreen trim clips and seals for me this weekend!
  12. Yeah but he probably smoked 60 a day and drank a litre bottle of Whiskey too!
  13. petroleum jelly is Vaseline - right? or is there a different type for cars? Hey if you have stock piles of Vaseline :norty: ... go for it! Yes, works pretty well at helping out old dry seals, and has the advanyge on not "Drying out" either... This is a top tip brought to you by the owning of numerous air-cooled VW's
  14. Pop out rear lights and give the seals a quick smear of petrolium jelly should sort them out...I have done this when swapping lights over. Just helps the seal form better! Silicon should be a last recourse really... If you are getting coolant smells then something's leaking, may not be the matrix... could be one of the pipes... Critical yup always get water drips from the plate surrounds... and generally they go in the boot when it's open!
  15. Was about £14 from Alex at Elite car care... I've only used 1/4 in a year!
  16. Good old Craig always on hand to explain the Physics/weather... :salute:
  17. Megs NXT not that long lasting... I use Colinite 915, lasts months! In fact seen trials where it was still beading 6+ months later (and that was over last winter's heavy snowfalls!)
  18. What wax did you use? Also using a quality car shampoo will help protect your wax finish... Been using Megs Gold Class (from Halfords) and just trying the new Chemical Guys. These tend to containg better Foam agents to help float off dirt, as well as ingredients to help protect your wax... the chemical Guys claims to "feed" the paint too... To soon to see yet only used it twice!
  19. The other thing is are you driving it about with the heaters on and all closed up? If you are there's no where for the moisture to go. Drove mine for about an hour last night with heater on full and on "feet" after car got REALLY hot (missus was complaining of feeling sick) open the roof (on tilt) and this should suck out all the hot moist air... After doing this and parking up for an hour in Pikea, there was v.little misting on the windows... Did same on the return trip and all seemed good this morning. Still have the foliage seal to do though!
  20. There's a link to teh Jetex Pollon filter in the article...
