I'm thinking about blinging up a spare in-let manifold I've got, what's the best way to do it? I could probably polish it up to about 400Micron, would this be ok and would it last??? Cheers RACK

If I had a VR then I'd go straight to Stealth. It's worth the day just cos on the reputation they have. I had a 500mile round trip and stayed awake for 22hours to go to G-Werks, for my charger doing and Golf IC fitting.

Nice to know it's not to much hassle then. What do I need to do, take the dash out (is this just a matter of undoing the 4 screws holding the clocks in) and just find the bulb? Thanks in advance RACK

He's waiting till he's sold his MGF, Yep another hairdressers car! There's a nice blue 180 going for about £12K not far from use so we might be going to look at that soon. He's not quite rich enough to get a new one. Plus the insurance on the 3.2 might be a bit dear, he's only 21. As long as my tuned up G60 leaves him I'll be happy, looks are nothing without the power to back them up!!!

Come to turn my lights on earlier, and noticed something wasn't right. All my dash had lit up but the speedo was a lot dimmer than the rest of the gauges??? Has a bulb gone? Also if it has how hard is it to take the clocks out to check? Really pist off with the car at the min too, I've got no clutch, a whinging cam tensioner and a mate who can't seem to find time to re-build my engine :mad: Now my moan is over, could someone please help :cry: Thanks loads RACK

I appriceate the veiw mate. I got it for £150. As for the welding, I work at a Corus (formally British Steel) technical centre and have our top welder (who is a certified weld inspector) as a mate, he'll probably charge about 60 benson&hedges. I was looking at the system last night and it looks like it will fit. If not then I will sell both my Powerflow and the milltek and buy a complete new system. Thanks

That what I've been thinking. The engine is coming out soon, so I can get both systems side by side. If it's just a case of a bit of welding then it's smiles all round. If not then someone on here will be offered a bargian system :lol:

As some might have read, I bought a Milltek exhaust system off ebay recently. It should be coming tomorrow. Only thing is, I think it's the early hanger type and my C uses the bar type. (I know I should have checked :oops: ) Well, that's what they look like coming off my powerflow at the min. Question is: If the fittings are different is it possible to still fit the milltek?? I love evo 4's!!! They're just something about them, I don't think they look as in your face as the 5 and 6. Although a bloke who I work with has an Evo 6 and the only word to describe it is BRUTAL!! When he boots it, it feels like Lisa Riley is sat on your chest!

Here's mine; Get enigine re-built with G-Werks/Pitstop forged pistons Lightened and balanced bottom end Fit 268 cam in rebuilt PG head Solid enigine mount CLUTCH!!!!! Red tops 3.5 bar FPR SNS Chip (where do I get it mapped though?) Fit self ported throttle body Fit boost gauge and try and find a good A/F gauge Try and find some 2 or 4 pot calipers A bit of a re-spray Then a x-flow and poss toothed belts not too much eh???

Well, his MGF goes in the trader today. So he's does get some stick from me for being a hairdresser, with the TT he might look like a Salon owner with the TT. But then again I don't know many hairdressers who earn £800 a week! Not that I'm jealous of my kid brother you understand (little feka!)

I've heard the mini one wouldn't be able to flow enough for the G60, but I bet the merc one would be interesting? Where do you get the kit from to mount it?
