  1. I had one a few years ago.......2.0 8v in cadburys purple(not correct name obv).....cant tell you much about it though other than it was 100% reliable, only needed a service.....everything worked as it should and it was SOLID......no fears if you were to have a bump, never needed to get under the bonnet......my girlfriend loved it too, thinks it was the best car i owned so far.....probably cos i let her drive it
  2. Cheers for the info, thats the sort of thing i was looking for
  3. If thats the late one with the good passenger side fog light I'd be VERY happy to buy that from you :D :D
  4. Hi, I need to get discs and pads all round for my VR6......288mm front and standard rears.......my question is .......where is the best place to get them from, and which ones should i get? I have used the search btw  .....but got lost reading about calliper sealing kits etc  Thanks Martin
  5. Also got round to swapping the rear lights......still not liking the inpros, now on the 16v........will be swapping for some standard ones before i sell it.....then i'll be selling the inpros too :D .......also changed the side repeaters to dark smoked and fixed the drivers door window(popping out ).......fitted the new tweeter(Thanks Joe).....and fitted a new cd player.....oh and washed it too
  6. During the week past i had the factory alarm/immobiliser and the clifford immobiliser removed to be replaced with a trusty TOAD AI606........It was cutting out if i hit a pothole so i blamed the immobilisers(after a search and advise from the gurus) ........not cut out since though so i/they must have been correct
  7. nevermind, how much was it up for? £25 which i thought was a bargain......splitter has a crack.....but not too bad
  8. Just outside edinburgh.......but you have missed it i'm afraid.......knew it would go fast
  9. Cheers guys.......shame tho as they are cheap as chips :(
  10. Hi, I know i should probably know this......but i can never remember......is this pic an early bumper.....and if so i'm guessing the fog lights will be different to the late ones.....or will they fit onto mine......95'? Cheers Martin
  11. If you had a passenger side foglight (uncracked) i'd be happy to relieve you of it :D Cheers Martin
  12. Ok I was out again this morning and it cut out 4 times.....small sharp jolt seems to do it?......when it happens it will start straight away......also no need to stop as it start with a bump?.......I dont think its the ignition switch or the transponder as i'm guessing these have nothing to do with the running only the starting??......or do they? I think its the original or the aftermarket immobiliser........both of which i'm hoping will be removed by monday. Is there anything else i could see fuse/relay wise or something in the engine bay that may be loose that would cause an instant stall? (i have made sure all fuses and relays at the fusebox are properly seated) Cheers Martin
  13. Well i thought i had sorted this but it cut out again twice tonight after a sudden jolt of the same pothole as before.......yes i did do it to see if it would happen again :D .....and it did.......thing is it didn't blow fuse 16.......and it started again once i had stopped.......dash lights were flickering but not fully lit until i turned the key to the off position and then back round......i'm guessing it is either the transponder coil or the ignition switch??.......or perhaps the clifford immobiliser?? Any thoughts?? I'm planning to get rid of the factory alarm/imob and the clifford imob and getting a toad Ai606 fitted as soon as funds allow.....i'll prob change the ignition switch and trans coil then as well.......anyone know the part numbers and possible prices? Cheers Martin

  15. Its only been a couple of days......but i really really like the VR6 drive........and not even because i drive fast, because i dont.......its just knowing the power is there......totally different to the 16v, feels bigger and heavier too? :D
  16. SORTED :D .....turns out it was fuse 16 that had blown......probably because i had the glovebox out and the light was swinging about???....could have touched metal maybe???......all the stuff behind the cowling looked very tight, no way was anything coming loose there Thanks for your response Joe, The car is a good one, I'm confident of that :D And Toad,Tom.......Much appreciated mate  Thats why i love this forum :notworthy:

  18. Hi all, my recently purchased corrado vr6 died about 30 mins ago after going over a pothole(not even a big one) After reading this..viewtopic.php?f=1&t=60101&hilit=vr6+starts+then+cuts+out It is the exact same symptoms........so who can tell me in their best lay terms what the transponder coil looks like.....i'm guessing its behind where the ignition key goes??? Many thanks Martin
  19. I'm thinking of swapping rear lights from my 16v to the vr6......any thoughts?
