Thats where the problem was on mine Jim.........I found the wiring was broken inside the plastic sheathing..........got a new one from euro car parts for about £70 i think......which wasn't needed but i put it on anyway :D edit.......it was a new throttle potentiometer i got.......not a throttle body

Selling a Corrado with classic stalling/idle problems
easypops replied to norman16v's topic in General Car Chat
The place i would be looking is the wiring that goes to the throttle potentiometer......2 out of the 3 on mine were split inside the plastic sheathing.....i only found it by luck......symptoms were as you describe......found it after changing fuel pump, isv, maf, dizzy, leads  -
How cheap could you get the brakes for? :norty: .....and maybe post them to me :D ....then i could gloat too

I had a similar problem , changed various parts.....fuel pump , air flow meter , throttle body , throttle potentiometer(the black box at the bottom of the TB).....problem was still there........turned out it was the wiring for the ^^^^^^ was split at the plug......its been great since fixing that
-
The blue plug on my car has never been plugged in.......i did plug it in when it was going into the garage to get a new fuel pump......the guy there told me to keep it unplugged as they always seem to over fuel the engine???.......that was a good couple of years ago and it has done no harm......so it stays tied up :D
-
Or if its like the old one i had on you'll need to do it in reverse order as the knob and gaitor were all the one part......which meant it would only unscrew one turn until you released the surround :D

Here you go mate.......its only a couple of jubilee clips and an electrical connector to remove......once you have it off give it a good clean out with brake/carb cleaner or petrol or lighter fluid and poke a slim screwdriver in to make sure the springy thing inside is moving. Also plenty of other potential causes , most have been well covered......try a wee read through this viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62564
