  1. I’m not quite sure of it’s purpose, dodging leaky brake fluid sounds good to me. I had this piece left over when I had my engine out but now I know where it goes/how it sits 👍
  2. I might have identified the random plastic bit with a picture, if it’s the bit at the back I can get more pictures to help. I’ve definitely helped myself......... really should have checked the breaker before I gave up on it 🤣
  3. Excuse the mess and the rather conspicuous manifold 🤪
  4. I’ve got a similar shelf in mine, but the top has been made to look sort of factory, hold on and I’ll get a picture or 3. It’s been solved from above, although I do still have speakers in it
  5. I would agree with Fla, I’ve had 2 non starting VR6’s and the very first thing I’ve done each time is swap ecu and fuel relays. I’ve been fortunate that I’ve had known good relays to hand. Both cars started but I’m unsure which relay was at fault. I couldn’t see anything wrong with the above relays and I wouldn’t know what to look for if I’d opened them. Definitely worth trying. Maybe you’ll have someone close by you could borrow from?
  6. Is the plastic the one that covers where the fuel lines emerge in the bay? I removed it from mine (at least I think I did) and I gave up trying to refit it as I couldn’t work out how it was originally attached....... can’t help with the screw, I’ve literally got tub after tub of random ones, usually left overs 🤣
  7. 🤣 I have definitely fell onto some decent bargains over the years, so can’t complain when I actually do have to buy something........... not many cheap finds these days, looks like the prices are only going one way from now on 🧐
  8. Ha ha, I was the exact same as you mate, loads of searching but I eventually bought one from Poland I think it was, £55 if I remember. It will likely be dearer now with Brexit postage/customs charges I guess
  9. Fitted the side markers, just to see how it will look , I’m loving it 😁
  10. Knowing my usual timescale, a few weeks won’t be a problem , saying that, proper curing shouldn’t be an issue as my garage is heated, running off the house central heating........ and my missus likes the house roasting so the garage is like a hot house
  11. Thanks mate, I’ll have a look, I think I’ve got enough clear coat on, although I’m not exactly sure what the correct amount is? I’ve put on 4 coats
  12. Just placed on, still needs a little fettling
  13. Thanks mate, I’ll keep that in mind, I’m guessing that’ll help with the orange peel effect? Although I’m just delighted it’s red 😁 The wings are nearly ready
  14. So, second attempt at the slam panel and it’s ok, not perfect but that’s ok, it won’t be a show pony 😁
  15. Well done, nothing like new stuff 😁👍
  16. I’ve got mgr and oe. I’ve yet to fit the mgr, although the sizes seem the very same so I’ve no worries about fitment. I’ve got a set of their bonnet pins I’ll be fitting as well. I painted the stainless black as I’m not wanting shiny 😁
  17. Looks like I’m ok for the slam panel hardware 😁
  18. So, as nice as the slam panel has turned out, it appears to be off a 16v. I removed it from the VR6 breaker I have so I’m not completely to blame 🤣 No matter, I’ve got another one I can give the same treatment, plus it’ll allow me to fit some of the stainless parts I’m sure I bought a while ago
  19. I know mate, I remember your for sale post, I thought I was about to be saved this job 🤣
  20. Does it? It’s not the one your lights came from mate........ this was bought by someone else years ago and was gifted to me as I’d always fancied running the American side markers 👍 Or are you remembering it from the previous owners car? Stonejag as far as I recall 😁
  21. Thanks mate, trying to get it pushed on a bit now, especially before lockdown ends 😁
  22. Thanks mate, I’m not really through. I’m sure it won’t stand up to proper scrutiny but it needs to be red. Lots of sanding between coats seems to be what helps, that’s what I’ve always believed anyway. Preparation, preparation, preparation. I may well end up getting it done professionally in the future, for now it’s functional 😁👍
  23. Still to be rubbed down for paint👍
