I’ve messaged Toby on the moderator WhatsApp chat, hopefully he’ll spot it and resolve it ASAP 👍

These look fantastic mate, well done. I was actually the guy who placed an order with you as soon as you mentioned it then cancelled it as I didn’t realise there was going to be the full solution. Keep us posted on testing please and I’ll look to take the leap as soon as testing is complete 👍😎

Aye, gone are the days of bargains, although I’ve had my fair share. You can’t find anything decent on eBay without finding it’s been shared all over Facebook and you are competing with a lot of other people . No secrets on the interweb

I know mate, I actually paid a deposit on one about 18months ago, from Spain only for the seller to do the dirty on me, then sold it elsewhere for more I guess. The price then was €1695 . I paid £1800 for the one I now have and I know of one that recently went for just over £2500. Sellers market really, you could ask anything and someone would get close I’d think. I paid £1200 for my Schrick a few years ago and I’d think that that has probably increased in price as well?

The rarity of some parts will definitely run the price up, the VSR complete these days will be about £3k and possibly/probably more. I paid close on £2k for this incomplete one. As for the gauges, I was offered close to £700 for the set in my red VR6, which I turned down. I do have a brand new set as well, who knows the value of them? I don’t think about it but it would take a comedy offer to make me even consider it................

I managed to find one earlier this year, it was advertised as possibly the final one cast, it has never been fitted and is missing a few bits of required hardware. Nothing too difficult except the flap. I’ve bought a few different ones now but none are correct. I do have a Schrick fitted so I might remove it at some point to see if the flap is the same, I know it’s similar. No matter, like everything it’s a long term project 🤣

I couldn’t get my SS crack pipe to seal at the block either, where as the new oe one sealed first time, which is why it’s still there

This came off an early set of golf vr6 wheels (15”) bbs rz? Looks the same as the ones you are looking for but don’t quote me on that -
I think I first spotted it on Facebook, corrado club France, also seen it advertised a few times on different Facebook pages

Have a look here https://www.gryp-3d.com/fr/10-catalogue https://www.gryp-3d.com/fr/volkswagen-corrado/474-clips-de-baie-de-pare-brise.html

Absolute brilliant, really nice work....... makes me realise I’m miles away in terms of quality, my setup looks like I’ve done it with boxing gloves on 🤣 I’ll have a good read soon and I’ll be ordering all the bits you’ve used. Again, superb work and help 😎

I’ve got a set of doorpockets with the switch blanks. Taken from an early VR6 with early interior, electric windows, switches on the doorcard as normal
-
When you write anything you’ll get this bit, fairly straightforward once you do it, I do it from my phone and resize the pictures, usually I set them to the medium setting
-
Well done, I was absolutely delighted when mine started after the rebuild, so I get it 👍😎
-
They are different mate, the VR6 one is more pronounced where the front engine mount goes, the valver one is straighter . Can’t help you on this though mate as I only have one that I need 👍
-
Please add a price mate, no point in saying send offers if no one knows how much you want. Pictures and a location will help as well 👍
-
My pleasure mate 😎👍

I saw some of your rust issues on Facebook , mine was very similar, sadly the underseal is now hiding the problems instead of preventing them 🤣 The fuel tank is an awkward beast, especially if it’s got a decent amount in it, definitely easier with 2 bodies

You will be fine as you described, I usually put the jack underneath it and then loosen the straps but if you are only doing it to reroute the pipes then you might get away with just releasing the back bolts, dropping it slightly then doing what’s to be done. Just watch the pipes that are on as you don’t want to stress the connections at the filter or the pump . No need to touch the rear beam
-
This is what I used for reference,(thanks Tony), although I think I ran it closer to the step and behind the heat shield. I’ll get a picture later if I can still fit under the car 🤣
-
I’ll have one for sure, I’ll confirm tomorrow as it’s not the easiest looking in my shed in the dark🤣
-
Same here, you would need to be a contortionist to get in there now, I might try once the car is at ground level 🥴
-
I’m not quite sure of it’s purpose, dodging leaky brake fluid sounds good to me. I had this piece left over when I had my engine out but now I know where it goes/how it sits 👍
-
I might have identified the random plastic bit with a picture, if it’s the bit at the back I can get more pictures to help. I’ve definitely helped myself......... really should have checked the breaker before I gave up on it 🤣
