  1. Great work, this is the first time Iโ€™ve had a chance to use that gauge I bought a few years ago, totally forgot I had it until I saw your picture ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. No mate, the gearbox came in the fire damaged car that Michael and myself bought a couple of years back, Michael took the head and the VSR, I retained the rest, the gearbox had an issue the previous owner made us aware of, 1st and 2nd difficult to select. I took it to a gearbox mechanic that I know through a friend, he repaired it and changed the 5th gear, I supplied the 5th but as Iโ€™d only ordered one half of it he supplied one ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ I did ask if he could swap the lsd(wavetrac) into my working box but he said it would be better/cheaper to fix the box with it already in
  3. I can mate, still a bit worried that absolutely nothing will happen when I turn the key, although Iโ€™ve double and triple checked everything, there has been a lot done. Change of cams, chains and tensioners, clutch and flywheel, OBD2 conversion, Teves20 conversion, gearbox rebuild (5th gear swap and 1st&2nd synchroโ€™s replaced to go with existing lsd). Plus I removed all the existing oe and aftermarket alarms/immobilisers so there has been a lot of electrical jiggery pokery ๐Ÿคฃ
  4. Long time no updates although I have been crazy busy with getting back to work, but some progress has been made. All brake lines have been made and fitted, goodridge hoses all round. As itโ€™s Teves20, no bias valve. Fuel tank and pipes installed. Coolant hoses installed, but had a few leaks when filled up, crack pipe at block(pinched seal),thermostat housing (my error in assembly) and radiator switch (not quite tight enough). Swapped the metal crack pipe for a vw original one, sorted the thermostat housing and tightened the red switch and no more leaks(yet). Oil filled up. Gearbox filled up with MT-90. Power steering fluid added but needs the pump turning for circulation. All heat shields installed. Exhaust fitted except the back box, need to do a bit of a repair on the rear bracket area. Still to do Finish the install of the Schrick pipes/electrical box.......almost done though Add brake fluid Adjust the gear linkage as itโ€™s not quite right at the moment (at least I donโ€™t think it is) Loads of smaller jobs needing done but it might well get fired up soon ๐Ÿ˜
  5. I had my fuse box all the way down to allow removal of all the old security stuff, OBD2 conversion, Teves20 conversion and to wire in my heated/moving seats. When I tried to put it back it was a horrible job, Iโ€™m still crossing my fingers that everything stayed in place as it was very tight
  6. As usual, life constantly gets in the way of car tinkering. Iโ€™ve been super busy recently so very little done. I removed the rear axle again, tidied up a few areas of surface rust, found a few other bits where the underseal had split so I had a few small patches to weld, nothing pretty but now solid. Also managed to fit the the front brakes and refit the rear axle
  7. Iโ€™m not sure, if they are indeed 57.1 centres then I guess theyโ€™ve had some work done? Are Subaru not a bit smaller? I donโ€™t think there is much in it
  8. These ones Dox https://www.gumtree.com/p/wheel-rims-tyres/vw-corrado-mk1-mk2-mk3-golf-alloys-16x7-5x100/1379618413
  9. Thanks mate, Iโ€™ll keep this in mind, Iโ€™m going to go with the easier one that Fla posted. I do like the idea of a cabin switch but as the car hasnโ€™t actually started yet Iโ€™ll get it working first ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
  10. This I think I can just about manage, any idea of diode size I should be buying? Also, total laymanโ€™s question.......what does the diode do? Is it like a non return valve for power? ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. Superb mate, thank you ๐Ÿ˜
  12. ๐Ÿคฃ Iโ€™ll need to make a cuppa before I try looking at that ๐Ÿคฃ Let me look and Iโ€™ll see if I can find the post/posts on Facebook ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Thanks mate, Iโ€™m ideally hoping for an absolutely idiot proof guide ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
  14. Iโ€™ll look at eBay to see if I can find a plug, Sharan is a good shout ๐Ÿ‘ No idea about the brackets, I bought these years ago. Yes, ideally I want it to run like factory ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜ Long time no speak mate, you still in Glasgow? If so I think you might have been spotted a couple of times........posts on Facebook stating theyโ€™ve seen an unidentified green Corrado about the Clydeside expressway ๐Ÿ˜
  15. Iโ€™m having a bit of an issue with how to wire my slimline fans. I bought the set up years ago, with wiring already attached. This seems to incorporate the radiator switch leaving no place for the original wiring to plug into. Iโ€™m hoping for an easier/simple solution that allows me to plug the rad switch plug in as normal. Both fans have a blue and black wire(+ and - I guess) . I would like somehow to attach these to the original fan motor plug. Iโ€™ve had a search but still unsure. Do I join the 2 lives from the slim fans and then split them into the 3(stage 1,2,3) lives on the plug ? Or into one and then bridge the other 2? Then join the 2 negatives and put them to the earth in the plug? Obviously it would be nice to locate the correct opposite of the plug to make it tidy, sure I read that there is one from another vw but I canโ€™t find the old thread I saw it in? Many thanks as always if anyone can help ๐Ÿ˜ Pictures of the wiring I have installed on the fans
  16. This should help ๐Ÿ‘

  21. This one? If so let me check and Iโ€™ll see if Iโ€™ve got a spare one of them as well as the metal bracket. edit: Got the clip, and almost certainly will have the bracket ๐Ÿ‘ If so Iโ€™ll get them to you ๐Ÿ‘ Wont be looking until the morning as itโ€™s not nice outside ๐Ÿคฃ
  22. There you go mate ๐Ÿ‘
