So, seeing as it’s a wee bit warmer today, I thought I would start trying to get a few wee bits painted(diy style) so that I can push on . Fibreglass wings bought last year from Chris Ferry, top guy as we all know. I got them with the holes still to be put in as I wanted to delete the indicators........ planning on having them in the bumper(American side markers). Slam panel off the breaker, as I gave the red one away to a deserving fellow owner 😁 And the front bumper , already fitted with the recesses for the side markers

What do you need mate? I’ve got a couple of spares but I think(need to check) they are broken on the usual passenger side

Thanks everyone, I’m delighted to have found it. Hopefully that’s it for the comedy expensive parts. I have to put it to the side so I can concentrate on the red VR6. It’s so close to being ready that I can’t allow myself to be distracted (my life problem 🤣)

So, I’ve been very quiet lately, work has been really busy, which I know is odd in the current climate, anyway, I’m hoping to get back in this ASAP. However, I did manage to pick up a wee present for the almost forgotten about Storm........ supposedly the last one cast and it’ll need a few of the holes drilling etc, so it’s another project to go on the list. I might just look at it instead of actually using it 🤣

Sounds great, I’ve had lupo wipers for years but I like the sound of the washers on the blades, my Citreon(Learner Car) has them and I like it a lot, definitely interested to see what you’ve done 😁👍

I wonder if, as fendervg has suggested, that the lever(or a bit of it) has snapped off and is now jammed in above the locking lever? Maybe try pushing it down and see if anything drops out. I know it’s not exactly scientific but there isn’t much you can do except try a variety of what you’ve no doubt already been trying. Can you get any pictures? Can you see inside?

This might not help, but it might. The yellow arrow points to the lever that opens the door, nearest the outside, pushes down to open. The blue arrow points to the locking lever...... down to lock, up to open. Just in case you are trying to pull the front lever up the way, it needs to be pushed down

Why not attach it to where it’s meant(usually) to go? Or is it short?

I’m interested to see how you find it....... I’ve been toying with a similar purchase for a while, got to say that fear of it falling on me is the main reason for any reluctance. I’d love to raise the roof a bit to allow a proper 2 post ramp but I fear the Council will not allow a decent height gain

You don’t know the half of it mate, I emptied one of my sheds today as it’s leaving to be replaced by a bigger one. 5x sunroof assemblies 6x wings 2x doors 2x windscreens 2x dashboards 3x rear quarter glasses a set of rubber mats and a set of new mats 🤣

I like them in black 😎 As for the shims, I’ve never used them before but that means little. They never came with the ones I’m going to run although they were present in a set I stripped and forgot about a few years ago........still in a box I occasionally move 🤣

If the green plug and the grey one reach the earth is really close to the actual fusebox 👍

There is a wee yellow arrow top right that shows the earth block that’s hidden behind the dash 👍
