Nah, price seems good to me ;)

Oh no! Feeling a bit bad that so many people are after them and I hadn't even got round to posting a wanted ad yet... Promise I have been looking out for some though! Sorry all!

What fantastic luck!

Yes please Pete, I'll take these. PM with payment details please!

This sounds interesting...

Ooh yes! Hopefully I'll have the cams in by then and I'd love to see what difference they make! If you don't mind organising it again Jim, that would be great :)

It's looking great Mic! Paint looks fantastic!

Glad to see this car has gone to a good home and amazing that you've done so much already! Always good to see rados getting the attention they deserve, especially blackberry ones! Welcome to ownership and the forum. Hope you enjoy...

Good of you to warn us Bill. Thanks. Hope there will be a good outcome.

How much??!! Don't want to go down this route but these kind of prices will make me consider deleting them when it comes to respray time. Mine were fine until the bodyshop mangled them last year. Really wish I'd noticed at the time...

2 in the last few days! Quick trip to the stealers (parts obsolete, obviously...) resulted in this conversation parts guy (on seeing my rado out the window): oh, is it yours? Is it for sale? me: nope, definitely not for sale parts guy: swap then? I've got a '72 Beetle... me: thank you but it's definitely staying with me! Then earlier today I was outside and my neighbour (who I already know is VW fan and has owned a few mk2 Golfs) popped over for a chat. We were chatting about mods and I said that I've got an aftermarket exhaust but that I had tried to choose something comparatively quiet and as close to OEM as I could. He commented that it sounds lovely and the other day he heard me drive out of the estate and then up the main road. My face must have fallen cos he rushed to explain that it was not exhaust noise but engine note and that it was beautiful. Happy Fay!

Headlining looks smart. I need to do something about mine as it's dropped but can't decide what... It's the only time I've been picky about colour when car shopping! -
Are you back yet Kempy? How did you get on round the 'Ring?

Genuine black Corrado mats with embroidered logo
scarlet_vr6 replied to OllieVR6's topic in Parts for Sale
I got a set a year or so ago from the dealer. Part number is 863 VAG 141 8BJ. Look similar to the ones Ollie is selling except the embroidery is in the centre widthways. Looks roughly in the same place lengthways. -

Welcome! Good to hear that you're enjoying VR ownership. Any pics of it? (Can't help with that problem though, sorry.)

Does anyone else feel like rebooting their life?

Well, from reading this and talking to you at No Rice, I think it sounds like a great decision. You sound genuinely happy about this new chapter. If some of your friends and colleagues think it's a strange move, then perhaps they don't understand your reasons for doing it well enough or maybe have different priorities? Salary increase aside, you've managed to give yourself more time (and presumably a job with significantly less pressure?) which allows you to enjoy everything outside work more. I'm sure even just the knowledge that you're unlikely to be woken by a work call at a ridiculous hour makes a big difference - I imagine it allows you to relax more, really unwind after work? When it comes to big decisions like this, I always think that provided you've done some research, thought about likely outcomes and what the impacts may be, then you can't really regret the choice you make. Even if it doesn't work out the way you had hoped, then it doesn't matter because it was the best move at that time. I took voluntary redundancy a few months ago. Lots of my friends and colleagues thought I was mad but I now feel refreshed and keen to get on with whatever is next for me. I absolutely hated my last job and the moment I left, I felt happier. Now I just have to work out what I want to do next. Struggling with that one a bit though...! I read something the other day which amused me but perhaps a little too true... Teenage = time + energy - money Working age = energy + money - time Old age = money + time - energy Anyway, good luck with your new job/lifestyle, I hope it all goes according to plan! Also well done for doing something about it... sometimes that is the hardest bit! -
I remember you talking about Mincy at Castle Combe so I did wonder when I saw you'd sold the R32! Glad it's all sorted itself out and it sounds like it was definitely the right decision. Mic and Mincy reunited!! What a happy tale! Well done :)
