  1. Excellent idea. One issue..... it appears (according to Eric's original post) that I may have missed the deadline for exhibition tickets. Does anyone know what the deal is? Eric? Can I still get a ticket or has that particular plane left the hanger, so to speak?
  2. So is the plan to be at the beer pub Saturday afternoon?
  3. Looking really good mate. Hats off to you for sorting it. I'm happy to try my hand at most mechanical items but bodywork is a dark art as far as I'm concerned.
  4. Will he? Won't he? Only time will actually tell.... .... Welcome back mate!
  5. mate, sounds like you're having a right old mare! chin up and all that, it'll be fantastic once finished
  6. Awesome work. Remember the one I briefly had, very quick. Glad it was worth it all now?
  7. Well done for saving this car. Judging by the pics it's days may very well have been numbered!
  8. Got n3p's car then? I'm running falken on mine but couldn't recommend them for very spirited driving. They're fine but not great.
  9. Good luck mate, hopefully it'll be fine. What wheels you running at the moment?
  10. How have you mounted it? I've never got round to getting mine sorted.
  11. Agreed. Although I now want to know what the new vehicle is.... other that manufacturer... In a way I hate these kinds of situation. Makes me think I've had a good run with the Corrado and it's time to get a big boy car....
  12. Haha! Thread of the day for me!
  13. That is so cool! That is not.....
  14. Any chance of some pictures? Could come down to tyre brand but.... I'm currently running 205's on my 8J wheels and that's plenty of stretch in my opinion. Not sure I'd want to try running a tyre a further 2cm narrower.
  15. Dare I ask what you've found that means getting rid of this beast? Please tell me to bugger off if it's a secret
  16. Good on ya mate. Until moving in Feb I lived in the middle of Cambridge with no garage and no drive. So it was working on the car in the road, or driving over to a friends to use their drive. Issue then is it restricts you to only doing jobs you know you can finish within a day. Hoping to attempt some bigger projects now I have space.
  17. Wow. Some people clearly have too much time on their hands. Hope you get it sorted mate. I'm hoping that the fact we're renovating the house will mean the neighbours would much rather look at our subtle extension than the current falling down lean-to.
  18. Del - Mine would be more down to space. I've only got a single garage and a carport. Not sure I could let poor old Mincy give up the garage he's only just got! I know someone who has a '72 for sale. Good engine but would need a fair amount of bodywork. Dox - Don't scare me! We're having plans drawn up for an extension and our architect has suggested going for some kind of "neighbour permission" rather than full planning as it's only single storey and only adds about 15m2 or so to the existing footprint...
  19. My first big project was a 1967 Standard Beetle, and I'd love to do another air-cooled..... but that would mean the Corrado having to go....
  20. I try not to disappoint! Ouch!
