    Just placed my order over my phone worked ok although my phone did crash first time, think that's my phones fault though. thought I might as well throw in a cup holder as well:-)

    hmm pretty sure it was 140 all in, but my memory does fail me from time to time. incidentally I had been trying to get some for a while and vw were saying obsolete then ssuddenly stock appeared again. could happen again maybe!?!

    I paid 140 for a pair from VW a year or so ago so 80 for one side now it's obsolete seems about right.

    mine does this as well. I think the rattle on mine is the parcel shelf jumping because the foam bits on the tailgate fell off (didn't know where they came from at the time) and the squeaking is the rubber pins that it hinges on moving slightly when the shelf jumps. haven't got around to sorting it yet though

    do you have the plastic under wing/bumper splash guards? I.e. The flat pieces that link the arch liner to the bumper.

    where did you get in done? Been trying to decide what to do with mine for a while now, ever since someone keyed the sides and a done bits of rust have started appearing.

    Doesn't take a high speed crash to damage your brain, just falling off at low speed and landing your head on a prominant chipping could crack your skull open and change your life. Helmets are essential in my opinion.....preachy bit over.... Make sure Its comfortable though, I find the cheaper ones like Bell etc. are horible to wear and will encourage you not wear it. Ive got one made by kask now and although it was quite pricey its worth every penny as its light, easy to fit and comfortable.

    the elbow and seal are available from vw heritage or vw classic parts. sometimes on eBay as well. not sure about the vertical bit it bolts into but looking at it it'll probably come out fine.

    still available from either dealer or heritage but ridiculous price. when mine stopped working I opened them up sanded the contact points and sprayed them with contact cleaner and they've been perfect ever since. I think the arcing on the contacts builds up an oxidized surface over time that needs to be sanded back to shiny metal

    2nd vote on dead battery. see if a garage will check it with a load tester. why the 120amp alternator? it needs to be balanced with the size of the battery and the amount of drain and therefore charging required. if everything else is standard then the alternator might be overcooking the battery?

    someone on here recommended part no N 902 767 as an alternative speednut for the top screws but not ordered any yet so can't verify it.

    2nd that^^ Genuine vw standard fronts and r32 rears is all I've ever seen recommended and its what was fitted to mine when front end was done at stealth last year.

    I picked up a drift punch from a car both sale, just worked around it tapping away. worked well once I got it going and a lot easier than I thought it would be.
