New wheels, love them. They fit spot on and are perfect. 7.5x17in ET35 BBS RKII's. Just need a 90mm spoiler and thats it done. Shame to be taking them off soon as soon as the first bit of salt goes down but it give me a chance to do something with the centres, possibly a grey colour and laquer the rim as there bare metal.

Dont think so. Offset is too low and if these are genuine the rears will be 9.5in wide with an offset of ET15 but you will need adaptors as well which will bring the offset down to about 0. The wheels will then stick out miles. If there 5x100 then they might be ok but you will need arch work at the back.

They will be up for sale, was wanting to go down the "motorsport" look but decided against it. Always wanted a set of the new ones and there bang on. You'll just have to wait and see!!!

Does look ace. Good luck cleaning them though!!! At least you dont have to worry about salt etc.

Well I got bored of the TD's very quickly and got myself some new wheels. Will be swapping the tyres over this weekend so I'll put up some pics then. Oh and Im famous for a wee while http://www.psituning.com/home%20page/homepagenew.html

Love this car. Red is the new black, white, brown...

15mm, but make sure you get hubcentric ones plus longer bolts. You dont want to over do it as you will be putting extra stress on the wheel bearings.
-
There actually not too heavy from memory.
-
Cool, what scale are they? Ive still got an old Tamyia Delta Integrale at my folks house. That would be cool to get a little Minime flying about the streets.

Bring me back a penguin please. RHD (Im assuming) so most likely brought over by forces personnel.

Nice, good job by the way. I took a wire wheel to mine but just to clean all the crap off, there not quite as good as them. What colours your car as Ive sprayed mine Dragon green the same as the car. What other colours do Hamerrite do?
-
Ive juts got a set and they were from a late golf. The hoses are still attached with what looks like a female thread so will these be correct ones to use for the Corrado?
-
7.5 seem to be fine for the clearance however I had 8in which required a 5mm spacer.

I was Followed Home by a white corrado ;)

Its obvious this is just a refrocked Mk5 but Im sure I read somewhere that the Mk5 was quite costly to produce so they have probably looked at different ways to manufacture and thus reduce costs. A tweak here and there and along the way and they have there Mk6. VW at the end of the day are in the buisness to make money and not purely to keep us happy. They will still sell, there a good car after all, and if they cost less to produce yet still sell about the same then there making more profit. More profit means hopefully more development money which in turn hopefully means more niche or better products. If thats the case im all for it however with the cost of metals etc skyrocketing over the last few years i think they needed to do this to turn out the same profit. Still prefer the Rocco.

Best thing to do is start your own thread on Member gallery and do not mention you know who. Glad your enjoying it, lovely colour. Were you the guy that bought Chris Pearsons blue Mk4 Golf from Dunfermline? I was the other guy down that day buying the wheels from him. It really is a small VW world.

I'll take it you havent driven a 24v then. :D Theres no way I would go back to a VR and whats the chances of finding a new 12v as opposed to a 2nd hand 24v? Dont like dash conversions at all and it was one of the things on Jays or Biggerneils (think thats right) car I didnt like. The Corrado has one of the best looking dash layouts as it is and works perfectly with the car. Ive even removed the VR badges from mine and sticking 288's on so I can retain the Speedlines if need be. If its for a show car fill your boots but the dash hassle and cost can go into some better areas IMHO. Remeber you will have to put in all the heating matrix etc as well with a dash swap. Hell you retain your original clocks with the "basic" conversion.

Yeah I think the one beside Tesco's is your best bet or try Eastside as Im sure someone asked for the same not that long ago and there was a few guys with spare sets.
-
If you get OE ones from the scrappy they will be long enough. From what i understand all the OE bolts are the same length.
-
Sorry there 9.8kg each, still not too heavy.
-
TBH thats the only thing that I thought.

Defo more go than show. As soon as my wheels rub whether it be the arch edges or inner arches they have to go. The whole point in having a car like this is not to have to hold back in the corners. BMW E30 wheels are good as there 7in wide and ET25 so they fill the arches nicely.

Ive had RC's on cars before and whilst there nice Ive never thought they were that great. Trying not to go for BBS as well. These are only 7.7kg and as I said the ones on my S3 really were amazing quality + I can get these brand new for about 2/3rd's the price of 2nd hand RC's.

Well I found these. They do look good, nice and simple. Very tempted.

Well im not taking to the Team Dynamic wheels i just fitted. I like that there light but I had to use a spacer at the front to clear the caliper and there not quite wide enough for me so Im considering the ABT wheels below. They are 7.5x17 with an ET38 which is perfect. They are light as well and after having a similar set on my S3 I know the quality is second to none. Anybody got these or seen a Corrado with them?
