is that figure from the mfa or actual calculation? im getting roughly 100-140 miles to 20quid depending on how i drive it.

could be that both the transmitter and reciever both have the same random code so each time they are choosing the same random code? I've just found another keyless entry remote http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.ph ... cts_id=480 this is directly for the corrado apparently and has room in the key for the imobiliser chip. just wondering if anyone knows what kit if best to go with on the website?

well they are £20 +vat now but if it is going to cure and irritating problem i might as well. but i will be putting the screw back in so expect an update in "vent your spleen"

Certainly sounds like the ign switch dude. Enjoy swapping that out, a real PITA apparently, bent screwdriver :nuts: required for a hidden screw? what! ive got to do this in the next few weeks! bloody Germans and their inaccessible screws! it sounds to me like the ignition switch as well dude, does the dash switch off when your engine cuts out while driving? my engine doesn't cut out whilst driving lol!!! and no the dash doesn't switch off at anytime, its only the stereo

Definately! - As it was my first track day in it I had an instructor come out with me for the first session and he commented on how good the brakes felt, even by the end of the session. He was also commented on how well the car pulled down the straights - well i did have to back off down the pit straight as i re-caught the Alpina B3 that i'd let through before the last corner 8) - so the car that VW built did well and the 'DG' refinements kept me grinning and on the black stuff all day :salute: 1 more pic from the day: was there by any chance a ford focus rs with black wheels and a red honda civic at this track day? if so how did they fair against you?

well it can't be a loose wire because its everytime i turn the ignition and in order to get it working i have to twist the key slightly, its fine when its not in the 'on' position.

Im after a bit of confirmation more than anything, I ordered an ignition switch from my local car parts place and then reconsidered and decided to get a proper vw one. But just before i do, the problem is... everytime i switch my car on (car starts fine, no problems), i have to tweak the key slightly further a few times to get the right point when my stereo comes on and stays on, it does also like to turn itself off as im bouncing along the road occasionally. Am i right in assuming this is the ignition switch that is the problem?

I have the braking lines on but i usually make my own lines up and only use them so i know where the corner is. I tend to concentrate too hard and attempt taking sharp corners flat out without the lines on lol. but i can't be doing with driving line though, you can easily get faster without using them!

does sound to me like the wires behind the throttle body have come off or have broken. mine used to idle at around 2k in traffic and judder when the wires came out but to be honest with a corrado you never know. have you given the spark plugs a look? might be worth inspecting them

have you made sure the injectors are in properly, nice and tight? i would retrack what you did, if you accidentally knocked anything and thought "ill jus put this back and then ill sort that". does it do anything weird on idle? or is it just when driving?

im presuming you have either that 2l or the 1.8... there are 3 wires underneath the throttle body, make sure they are plugged in correctly and are not broken. Also try just unplugging the ISV and drive it, see how it goes, if its still playing up you can cross that off you list

whats all this power vs handling all about!! lol, i jus got a better run out the corner cus i went wider into it and came out faster :D then put the power down too early on the corner before the straight :( admitedly my corrado does still need tweaking handling wise but i have added all handling mods and then with what i had left added performance mods

i've heard its pretty easy with a heat gun to melt the sticky and an old credit card to peel it off and then jus clean up the sticky stuff left afterwards

I'll probably be on for a race, will see what im up to though. video looks good yan, the first corner seems to be a hot spot for carnage though! i prefered starting at the back of the grid :lol:

I'll have to watch that replay, i kept looking back thinking "that corrado is getting closer" and trying to keep it steady but just lost my composure a bit, the amilfi race was good, was sat on your bumper the full race trying to find a way past you yandards but just couldn't get the drive out of the corners. The last race with me and mattski was crazy close, he outbraked himself on a corner so i thought i've got him, then all of a sudden i had major door shut in my face syndrome lol. will look forward to watching replays when i get in tonight

well it wasn't me because im the red car in the video! need to put my number plate on but i quite like having the smoothed front bumper (yes i know its US spec) can't wait till next race, was some insanely close racing. Ill have you next week though yandards!!!

Hehehe! ****ing annoying it was! Especially in the first race when I had it all under control ;-) not sure what happened the 2nd time, everyone dissappeared and then I couldn't re-join the session. Great fun when I was racing though, looking forward to next week - will have the tv mounted on the back of the garage door! Hahaha! i know!!! i was looking at the distance i had to catch you up and thinking theres no way thats happening and then all of a sudden you disappeared. need to get the router sorted for next week, will be a bloody good race!
