-

Brilliant news! but just one thing... you do realise what forum you are on don't you...

another idea for you, this requires no money to be spent! take out the fuel rail (with injectors still attached, but be careful not to damage the seals) then put some cloth down and then turn the car over, see if one injector is constantly injecting. My car was using tonnes of petrol and stinking of it, running lumpy and white smoke out the exhaust. Turned out the ecu was poorly and causing one injector to stay open constantly.

Thats a real shame! one last thought though, think about how much time and effort you have spent on it already to make it how you want. Corrado's are very addictive and if you break it you will just have to start all over again on the next one. better to stand back from a project and see how much stuff you have done than to look at how much needs doing

To stop thieving scum stealing our cars, im not an expert but i would guess cat 1 is a fair bit better than cat 2 and i would feel much happier paying the extra to secure my car.

Its nationwide offer apparently, been told it was in the Sun newspaper. Went and bought it from Sainsbury in Harrogate, well chuffed! I'll be on forza tonight, had my girlfriend round last night so was lego batman all night!

i thought all the mk4 golf 150's were only made in the anniversary spec? i have been on the lookout for a 150 and the only ones i have seen are anniversarys

Couple of questions for you to think about. When were the chains last done? when was the last service done? as for coilovers, in my experience FK's are terrible and i would stay well clear!!! as for choice, it depends what your after. I love my KW V1's, i was a little worried about spending the extra money and not noticing the difference between FK's but ride quality is a thousand times better. You can spend £150 on hottuning coils or similar if your just wanting to drop your car as low as possible and want it rock hard but if its ride quality and good handling id definately spend the extra dosh, but theres a suspension discussion thread to back me up anyway!

Yea was thinking about your car the other day supercharged. wheres the members thread!? eh!

Maybe wrong section but im useless at guessing where to put the right topic!!! Anyway, finally i have 1 key for everything in my corrado however i have only 1 chip for the car and as such 1 immobiliser chip. Does anybody know where i can get another one from, do VW do them? or does anyone know anywhere else i can get one from? My only thought is that they would need coding and maybe a bit pricey :? Would it be cheaper just to go to a scrapper and get the halo and 2 new keys and grab the chips out of them?

I noticed that a while back and strangely enough there was a kit on ebay going at the time. It uses the other stalk to the mfa and has the same button to control cruise. Im not quite sure how it works though as the throttle body is cable :?

i've done one before in a pug 205 and a merc (skid pan car) that was fantastic and i got plenty of time driving but obviously i don't really want to do the same experience twice. id love to drive a mk2 escort on a rally course but i don't want to be travelling 2 hours for 15min drive and 3 hour talk about safety.

a couple of thoughts that could be your problem -your wheels ARE buckled -the adapters arn't straight -the adapters arn't sat right on the disc or wheel (bore hole on wheel is different to standard perhaps?) -the bearings are poorly causing it to seem like the wheels are buckled. -the wheel bolts are too long causing them to not be tightened enough

is it for the bonnet catch for your alarm by any chance? which side is it on?

£200 each, its a works thing
-
do VW actually do them?!
-
Right guys, been asked to organise a day out (or more likely half a day) for a car experience of some sort up north, im based near hull and its a works thing so can't really travel halfway across england. seen a couple that look quite good but im wanting to organise a rally day if possible for lots of off road sideways action. So far i've seen: Northants Bill Gwynee rally day Elvington - 4 laps in a supercar and 4 in a scooby plus 1 demo run Oulton Park drifting Silverstone Rally half day Im wanting to get the most driving time at of this and silverstone seems quite alot for not much. Got £200 to spend and no more as im not paying for it! Anyone got any recommendations?

yea, been watching the write up on edition. The work that has gone into the car is amazing, can't wait to see and hear this thing go. My mate actually registered on edition38 after i showed him.

I keep getting excited everytime i log on because it says 'update' lol, its not an update to me anymore!

you can tell by the indicators what age the bumper is as well, late style are flush with bumper whereas earlier are inset into the bumper. It might be cheaper to buy a bumper and get it off that then sell the rest of the bumper on.

oh boolax, i need mine replacing as well :(

i'm going to be getting the standard 12v engine i bought running first on OBD2 managment, then over xmas install all the turbo parts i'm slowly collecting :) awesome, i wish i had the money/confidence to do a turbo VR. will be looking forward to seeing it!
