  1. Im a deffo on the cams, and would jump at the cams + remap through stealth............beans on toast for the next couple of months.........
  2. I got mine from the dealers a couple of years ago if thats any help, wasn't too pricey either from what i can remember......
  3. Maybe it'll be worth getting a list of names together, and sorting the definates from the maybe's. Im a definate by the way......
  4. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?57486-Late-Headlight-Switch-New-Batch-Delivered-Fit-All-Corrado-s Why not get one of these mate ? Dont want to jump in on your thread Pat but it is a group buy..........
  5. May be an idea to tell everyone what they do fit, so if you know the bolt hole spacing (eg 4x100 ) and the ET (eg ET43) and the width (eg 6.5J ). May help you in your sale, good luck :salute:
  6. I store mine for six months every winter, i also stored it for 18 months when i was working on it. I started mine every couple of weeks but every now and the had to charge the battery. I would say that somewhere dry is the most important thing, when i first got my garage it was very damp in there and my car suffered for it, after i got my garage water tight it was so much better for the car, and felt a lot better about leaving it in there. Six months is not long to store your car but a year is quite a bit, there was a guide somewhere for long term storage but cant remember where i saw it.... One month in a damp place is as bad as a year in a dry place........
  7. Yea another one here, mine hibernates and only comes out in good weather..........
  8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Corrado-2-9-VR6-STORM-Edition-LOW-MILES-/230758570292?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item35ba485934 Just noticed its cat c, nevermind eh ? thought it may have been a good project for someone...... :tumbleweed:
  9. Im very interested, i got my schrick to go on so would make sense to do it all at once........ :salute:
  10. I have a cat, most of the time he's a pain but i wouldn't be without him, i think about sometimes what i'd feel like when he's not around anymore (he's 11), its not something i like to dwell on. Pets are family members full stop, if someone belittles that relationship i'd be really upset, but i would feel more sorry for them because they have no compassion, it seems to be missing in a lot of people. And i know it doesnt help much but sorry for your loss mate.
  11. I think they are designed to stay in even if the nuts come loose, so that it keeps the rack in its rough position so you dont lose steering.......... :thumbleft:
  12. Good effort chap, for sorting all of this, probably for little or no return. So i can't flog all my old stuff on your thread then ?........Oh yea i remember now, thats what the "parts for sale" and "start new thread" is for :)
  13. That'll be a yes then..........pen me in for one please OP ?
  14. I think it was needed in the original type where the bulb wire would overheat and melt, but an inline fuse would stop the wire getting too hot...
  15. I would rather buy from the OP otherwise it negates the point of a group buy, if this thread turns into "you can buy one off me instead", no offense meant..........
  16. Mine's still going strong after 19 years but wouldn't hurt to have a spare, are these supposed to lessen the risk of burning wires and a potential fire ? Should i still do the inline fuse mod on a new switch ? Or do i not need to because this one has no bulb ?
  17. This is turning into the red corrado thread.............
  18. He may have meant the one year that you've got at the end of the year, i hope you do, dont get me wrong, but it looks a bit suspicious..........
  19. No i dont think so :), its one of those peculiarities of having a classic policy, does feel like your mum telling you to be home by a certain time though..........
  20. Dont think it works like that mate, they just match the NCB while your with them, but you will still earn NCB on the second car i think, i would check with them though.....
  21. £58 ? Nice and cheap then......
  22. They said they dont allow engine mods, it maybe that general phenomenon when dealing with insurance companies, that the answer depends on which member of staff you speak to. Anyhow i told them that i didnt want to renew, and asked for my money back, then whilst being transfered from one person to another they cut me off, then i called back and spoke to about four people gleefully going round the houses, then they said can we call you because the person you need to speak to is on the phone........ Here we go i thought...... Then ten minutes later they called back, and said the money would be in my account within 3-5 days.........lets wait and see.......... I am suspicious of insurance companies, maybe im paranoid, but maybe you need to be........... All this aggro just so i can fit my schrick, which has been gathering dust under my bed for two years......... Anyway a call to Footman James and they quoted £308 with the schrick and all other mods, but i cant drive it between 10pm-6am. good, i finish work at 10pm just goes to show you cant have everything maybe my boss will let me leave early ?

..........and a nice colour, nearly as good as red...........:)
  24. I got an e-mail, im more peeved it was a whole week before the renewal date, you can understand a couple of days but a week ? They wont allow any engine mods, and i wanted to put my schrick on which means i wouldnt renew with them anyway, so i have to phone them to get my money back.....
