.....dont say that she's my sister. -
You could try, as it wont be a lot of fluid, but if there is any in the abs pump it will find its way into the rears as well. I would also have a check of the pipe between reservoir and abs pump (little rubber grommets) as thats where mine is leaking

Whats wrong with a debate ? A good reason to air your views, and listen to other opinions.

But its all subjective, until you get to a mk1 golf which was the first hot hatch but it didnt get that title until years later. So maybe the most important question is how will Corrados be viewed in years to come ? The bigger cousin to the mk1 ?, bigger and better with just as much character.? Or just another VW that happened to be a coupe ? To me i didn't buy my car for other people, it was a wholly personal decision on what i would consider a great car for £4k or at least the best car i could get for the money, then do up, maintain, modify a little bit to make it better, and keep for as long as i can, just a car that was good enough to cherish. Whatever other people think of my car it doesn't change how i feel about it and to me is unimportant, but if you think your gonna see your money again ? you may see half of it, but what you will have is a car that will make you feel special, and that is deeply personal. Its a hobby, a passion, and that is always personal.

Good for bailing out just before your about to go over a cliff............ -
Non starting is usually immobiliser/ignition barrel. What flavour of Corrado is it mate ? If it runs ok once you do start then it would appear to rule out the coilpack (if you have one) Looks like everyone answered at once !!

I say that because mine is quite juddery (when i engage the clutch) and has been for a while, and im sure my input shaft bearing in the gearbox is on its way out, apparently juddering is a symptom of that..... Mine is worse when the clutch pedal is pressed i can hear a dry/worn bearing rumble and it goes when i lift the clutch.
-
Are you sure its not clutch related ?

Its gonna go for parts money then, even at £720 you would make money breaking, obviously the chap wanted to save it for which he earns 1m brownie points for. I reckon it'll go for about the same and the new owner will break it. So im going to cheat and say £720............ :camp:
-
Thats what i mean about the timing though, the amount of c's being broken for parts its a dwindling market, our cars are worth less than they were, so heavy investment on one part takes a lot more thinking about, especially if you then sell on it'll be difficult as dickie is finding out. I was merely pointing out with the economic climate, smaller number of c's which are less valuable, and like you say newer cars for people to go onto (making the c less desirable), this is a hard sell, no doubt its a good product. I think its just realism not harshness, but maybe in this case they are the same thing.
-
.........but it still hasn't sold, so obviously not worth the premium to anyone. I am not knocking Dickie at all, i hope it finds a good home at a good price, so maybe the right place to sell it, just the wrong time. I think he would have sold this within the week five years ago........
-
It went for £720,

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that.......... -
I would have thought most people's mounts would be in good condition anyway, especially if you were in a position to buy this thing. It changes the way the car behaves a lot, mine feels so much more solid with VT mounts.

Maybe a bit harsh Wendy, but this is a forum of enthusiasts, with a passion and willingness to help and support each other, may come across a little over the top sometimes. Breaking a C is close to all our hearts, because it means the end of the road for the relationship, and some of us are not looking forward to that prospect. The man should just feel the support, and do the right thing in his own mind, whatever that is, but we have tried our best, and have the best of intentions. Can we have a happy ending now ? -
You shouldn't do it for profit, just Corrado love....
-
Yeah position is good, but i would say i prefer it black....... i like the red/black contrast........ :salute:

£600 !? Obviously priced it according to how much they didnt want to do it.... I have managed to spend that on mine and its been on axle stands for the last two months :bonk: I am another vote for getting it fixed.. -
Your right not to right off Evans quite yet, it'll be easy (ish) to lose several minutes in the mountains if Evans goes it alone. Having said that, having a domestique like Froome is certainly going to be a major help, but all it takes is one crash for Wiggo....... Its going to be a great tour this year, especially for the brits, well lets hope so anyway. Also a time trial a day before Paris ? This is going to be thrilling.......

Yes and yes you'll need two washers each side, although i believe that there are two thread depths (1mm and 1.5mm) so be careful
