Why not just take the sump off.........
-
They have flogged Top Gear to death, I remember William Woollard when it was about cars, talking seriously about cars. Shame, i watch it because its still better than a lot of crap on telly, i prefer wheeler dealers though..........
-
So maybe £50-£100 second hand ? Depending on condition ?
-
Looking good, mine took 5-6 hours just to get the rust and old paint off, using my angle grinder and wire wheel. I would be tempted to put a thick coat of underseal on the forward facing parts, otherwise it may be stone chip capital.....
-
The inside of my fuel flap says use 98 ron fuel, i know they put the 2.8 in the slc, rather than the 2.9 like mine, maybe it tolerates the lower octane value.......... i would have thought your ECU would be tailored to suit your fuel as well.........
-
You lose the passive steer effect, i want my front wheels planted and my back wheels compliant, i run a 28mm nuespeed rear arb which makes the backend a bit twitchy when cornering over rough roads anyway...
-
Our regular is 95 Ron, but super is 98/99 ron, i would therefore use premium all day long...... 91 as a maximum ? thats pants mate........ :shocked!:
-
What would be the going price on one of these if this was bought on its own, just for future reference ?
-
No not at all, i have a fully polybushed front end and its reassuringly firm rather than harsh, what i didnt like about the OE bush at the back of the wishbone was that by nature they increase the toe out to assist with braking but this make it wander over rough roads and you have to steer a bit to correct. Obviously the R32 bush is solid rather than having holes in like the OE one so would be a bit more solid under braking, but i would still like my front wheels pointing forward than getting toe out when braking. I have tried new OE and poly but can't comment on the R32 rear wishbone bush, wouldnt go anywhere near polybush for the rear beam though........... :nono:

I did get Beru ones from GSF they were £63 but that was five years ago, so probably not much help. They said at my school i should have tried harder......... :bonk:
-
I got some from GSF which were the same make as the VW ones, i think they were about £70 IIRC.

Any other R/C aircraft nerds out there

I got two helicopters (esky honeybee v2, and a e-flite blade 400 3d) they are super tough to fly in anything other than no wind at all. Knowing that if you crash its gonna cost at least £30 and three hours work takes the fun out a bit....... So i bought a HPI Bullet ST Flux (4wd basher) lot more fun, and much less likely to lose a finger when you use it........... -
Your lambda is really a service item as it does degrade and get slower over time, so i would be tempted to change that as well. I cant see the cat having anything to do with mpg only emissions, but the lambda is a very different story as it controls the AFR......

Pete can use my real name if he likes i dont think its hard to work out. :thumbleft: I did ask Vince about how long we could wait for the remap as i want to fit my schrick vgi and the cams myself, he said a few months is fine i got the impression anything after six months would be pushing it a bit............ :notworthy:
-
Each and everyone to his own mate, my second and third would be JD then a nice drop of courvoisier.... :smug:........ and any beer thats dark brown, London Pride by Fullers.... :thumbleft:
-
Sambuca -- just be prepared for the headache........... :bonk:
-
This might be a sore subject but can any one shed any info ???

No -
Well i paid today, so i put my money where my mouth is............
-
Either way i wouldn't want to drive round in a car with a crack in the manifold, if something is broke then you fix it, if then you still have this noise then at least you can rule that one out.
-
Thats still pretty quick, i was just asking as i didnt know how quick you make and send these out, thought it may have been a few weeks...... good stuff, they do look good quality........... :salute:
-
They are looking good. How long are we looking at before these arrive mate ?
-
If i cut back anymore i'll be eating the plate.......... :shocked!:
-
Mate its all opinions, its your car and you can do what you like with it, just stop and think for a minute and dont do anything you might regret. Wheels you can take off and change, for me being an old git i would sell them, the corrado handles best on the original speedies anything else is a compromise between handling/looks...........

So if the first post is accurate we have eight definite's, so we require another three to get to the next discount stage....... Im already sick of beans on toast, but looks like my only form of sustenance for the foreseeable, how much would i get for a kidney ? I also will be phoning Vince in a day or so........... :notworthy:
