Current job has just been extended by a week   Money is beyond tight at the mo, so this is a massive relief.
-
Ordered another PO starter kit to do my two front hubs with and to recoat the rear beam (has been painted but not with anything protective AFAIK) which will come shortly. Current job ends tomorrow, so will have to look into more stuff for August and Sept before Year 2 starts and I completely lose all my money and spare time! :cuckoo:
-
Oh you just want gaskets? Can't help, sorry
-
Yes the little brass screw on the throttle body will adjust the idle speed. to adjust the mixture you need a long 3mm allen key as the bolt is recessed inside the fuel metering head, but you shouldn't need to tamper with that.

I have a rocker cover going spare, £15 posted sound ok? :salute:

Keeping low on fuel for better performance ?
boost monkey replied to shawshankkid's topic in General Car Chat
Ah right.... was 90% sure you were one of those who said it would strain but I guess i'm wrong! Maybe it was another Mod   Good to know it's not straining though  :salute: -

Agree with everything that has been said, Petroleum does have a density / specific gravity of 0.72 (water is 1) as Serial mentioned. I find stripping the seats out have the same effect, although the fact you can hear the exhaust more can be a psychological influence, making you think you're accelerating faster! I always used to put £10 in my car when filling up to keep the weights down, but was warned off it by the guys here as it can strain the fuel pump...and mine is already on the way out! -
Ooops, I forgot to update this! Exhaust is fixed now   I love big updates... I can help you out from September onwards, probs easiest to do it at the new house :salute:

:confused4: What I was trying to say was that not every Corrado owner is on the forum, but yeah it's a good place to start looking. Never said it wasn't... But as they were taking pictures of your Mk1, it might be easier finding pictures of your Mk1 on a website and then talking to the guy who uploaded them? Saying that, there's only a few people who own green storms so you might find the owner on here, who knows :D Hope you get it sorted, and throw us up some pictures of it whilst you're here  -

Not really, more like plain english. Percentage of Corrado owners in the UK who ACTUALLY use the forum is pretty small. -
Glad you got video evidence of Louis Theroux stealing Mrs. B's car too  :lcop:

Wierd Clutch related problem - advice/help needed.
boost monkey replied to StueyB's topic in Drivetrain
AFAIK, you need to bleed the clutch master AND clutch slave cylinders. Which ones did you bleed before? Also if you have ABS, you might need to bleed that too but it can be a PITA. Sure someone else will confirm though. -
Not sure if anyone mentioned but the socket that fits nicely over a rear carrier allen bolt is a 16mm, IIRC. Was8v, you should lay on the charm with your dealer :luvlove: although some of them are just n0bs

This is a corrado forum?! wtfbbq  There aren't many green storms on here, I'm sure you'll find out quickly if it belongs to anyone. There's only a small minority of C owners that are actually on the forum unfortunately. -

Either the Police, or someone gonna nick it? I'd try some Mk1 Golf sites matey, maybe you will see your pride and joy on there! -
Oh don't be such a girl, both my windows are broken. :camp: Pull the doorcard off and have a look mate. You wouldn't diagnose an engine fault with the bonnet shut would you? Seriously though, let me know if you need any bits. I have a couple of spare early doors which still have all the E/W mech and looms (minus glass though) :salute:
