I had one of these for a short while on my last Corrado. I agree there is a bit of a design flaw with these and most of them require a bodge to fit. My problems began when I fitted it and the linkage fouled the scuttle panel near the wiper motor. So to compensate I changed the spacers round (of the part that the wiper arm connects to). Result being that it then fouled the bonnet. I finally got it to work after a bit of fudging but on full speed it was clunky. Took it off, sold it on ebay and bought Lupo wiper arms !

I tip my cap at the work done on the wheels. What paint (colour etc) did you use on the wheels ?

I've a dark coloured car bt it's been off the road for the past 8 months. Never been to Edition but may have to check it out. I'll be going to VWNW at Tatton park in a couple of months.

No problem. Just wanted to ask as I really need the switch and summer's just started. Thanks for getting back so quickly and all the best.

Slightly off topic but do you have the air con switch you removed for sale ? PM me if it's easier. Cheers James

Hoorah. My symptoms are similar to yours. Hopefully the fix on mine will be just as easy and as fruitfull. Good show that man.

.....Yeah I thought it was something like that as well, but defo dont quote me on that either :) .......James ?? Nothing gets past the keen eyes of forum members does it  Yes Kip is right. The OE wheel is a standard VR unit trimmed in red leather with one inch mauve bands at the ten to two position. I've kept the original off for the time being as it's in the middle of being cleaned and don't want to risk marking/damaging it further. I may have it re-trimmed yet (finances permitting) but wheel (ha ha ha, see what I did there) have to wait and see. The wheel fitted is a Momo "Racing line" wheel I've had since I bought my first car. It's quite thin and has a better "feel" than the OE wheel. I plan to keep this on permanently with the exception of when it's going to be around Corrado anoraks ! :notworthy:

I was in the workhorse, as the Corrado is off the road till next week. Looked like you were just getting in yours. I've opted for the 50mm spoiler as well. Some of the speed bumps round town are a pain in the ass. I take it you've never chanced parking in the galleries car park and risked ripping the bumper off yet then. The last Corrado I owned nearly had to be left in a car park after winding the coilies right down and grounding it on the way out !

Couple of final shots before she's whisked off for the MOT.

Saw your car on the car park accross from the court this afternoon at about 4oclock. It was only a quick spot but it was looking good  Really liked the ride height and the rims. How do you get away with not ripping the chin spoiler off driving round Wigan ?

Clean G plate 16v in red (G149 ???) slammed and wearing Ronal turbos. The sun was blazing away, all the solar powered women were out and my Corrado is in the garage. I said god dam ! Saw the driver getting in it this afternoon (Tuesday) at about 4oclock on the car park across from the court in Wigan.

I've put the effort in over the past few days and got most of the trim fitted and the interior back in.

Removed the rear spoiler assembly (which was a pain in the arse). Opened up the motor and replaced the green thermal resistor with a piece of cable. Spoiler now goes up and down on cue without hesitation.

Compared to mine it looks almost box fresh ! I've bladdered mine with wax till the cars back off the road next winter and a replacement can be found.

Autowindscreens came today and fitted a new screen. Work's taken over at the moment so it's slow progress for the time.

Great looking car with a nice period BBS steering wheel. The colour looks more like Twilight Violet to me but hey, what's in a name when the car looks that good :)
-
I have a Trakker fitted to mine. Shame it doesn't make the premium any cheaper though.
-
From what I can see, it needs to have an indicator cancelling tab. If you need a Momo one, it's model number 8014.

I bet he knows Augustus Kwembe, but he may be out getting much monies as well.

As luck would have it I received a positive phonecall from Autowindscreens this afternoon. They're calling over next week to install it. Result ! Looks like things are starting to come together :)

After what feels like an eternity she's back at home in the garage where she belongs. Rinsed off the volcanic matter and have cleaned out the inside in preperation for the interior refit. Birthday today (Weds) so I'm spending the day up a ladder roofing and then will come home for a quick look, evening with the family before an early night in anticipation for the start of the refit the following morning 👏 Quick pictures for the record before retiring for the night

Thanks for the moral support. So long as I get a few summer months out of it I'll be a happy man. I think its going to be a long time before its anything like yours though. Luckily I'm in no rush !

To say I am dissapointed is an understatement. Last week all was going well (or so I thought) and now it's not. Arranged for the car to be collected then that got put back till next Tuesday. Then I've spent nearly a week phoning and emailing Autowindscreens. I jokingly said to their head office staff that I thought they had ceased trading ! When I got a phone call off their Liverpool branch to arrange fitting it turns out the Warrington arm had been shut permenantly ! I've just had a call from them today that there's a two week lead time on the windscreen parts. When the Warrington branch shut, they threw away all the retained parts, including my parts. I am going spare with frustration. To be fair to the Liverpool branch they've grabbed the bull by the horns and laid out what they are going to do and when. More importantly they've rang me back when they said they would and kept me up to speed. I'm going to the body shop on Friday to collect some finished parts and have another peek so the story will drag on a bit longer yet. Out with friends tonight and it's our annual pilgrimage to the Eagle and Child beer festival tomorrow so it's not all bad :)

I know where you're coming from. Mines been off the road longer than I have owned it but I keep holding on to the memory of giving her a shoeing round the country roads near me sometime soon.

Bonkers ! Thought that looked a lot like Belmont but binned it off because of the Cornish plates. Looks like there's a few Rado owners in that neck of the woods. Anyone over at the top barn on bank holiday ! Me and the boy go for a walk in that neck of the woods every other week.
