What do you use to keep your engine bay plastic black ?
MarkFoster replied to VWVW's topic in Engine Bay
I'm sure I've heard people find using tyre dressing does a good job. Can't say I've done it myself though as I've got silicone pipework.... -
Wonderful seats - you might get more chance of a successful sale by advertising it on somewhere like Edition38. Mark

It'll be the MAF... -
Crossmember arrived safe and sound Wes, many thanks. Mark

Money sent Wes. M.

I'd like the front cross member; can you give me a price including postage? Thanks Mark

Now get a Corrado! Lol

I don't think Aston care if anyone buys one anyway; they probably only order them from Toyota when/if someone dopey enough to want one places an order. As other's have said, sounds like they're exploiting a loophole to get round the EU bureaucrats....

Lol! -
I don't mean to clog up your thread but, I just wanted to ask why you are swapping over you coilpacks? - I didn't think they were specific to either OBD 1 or 2

Thanks from me also Andy; my copy arrived safe and sound. Mark

Beckers with green displays look best IMHO. You can buy iPod connectors which work exactly as you describe, but have pre-iPhone 5 fitting (I'm sure you can get an adaptor from somewhere though...) Not cheap though unfortunately and I think Becker have stopped trading so classifieds only I'm afraid. Mark

Really interesting read, thanks for sharing. Good to see these sort of builds still happening on the CF!

I think that's for the yellow ones; $110 for clear. Still a fair hike though....

Looking good. You need to get that garage door sorted though, lol ;) Mark -
Every modern(ish) car I've been in has had the ability to activate the central locking from inside the car so that you're effectively locked in, ie the handles won't work from the outside. I don't want to get into a Police kicking session, but it sounds to me as if the officer wasn't really sure about what he was saying (you mentioned he spoke to his controller) so issued this 'prohibition notice' in order to get himself out of a hole... I would make sure you're compliant with the notice (no point in getting into even more trouble of this) but at the same time contact your local police complaints office and speak to them about it. If it can be agreed the officer had made a mistake then surely you should be compensated for the expense this has/will cost you. Keep all your receipts! Mark

I think holes from alarm sensors are to be expected, so not to worry and bank transfer is fine by me. PM your account details and I'll get the payment over to you. Thanks Mark

Hi Sam Not sure how I missed your post back in October, but clearly I did! I'm still interested in the grey A-pillar covers, and particularly the screw cover(s). (Did you manage to find the missing ones by the way?) Anyway, £10 is fine. PM me payment details and we can take it from there. M.

I'd also be interested in the adaptor plates if you decided to make a few more.... Mark

Used the Phirm loads in the past; Tim and Paul are great lads but I always seemed to spend a grand everytime I went there. So I stopped, lol! Mark -

Slowly but surely getting my VRT there - still collecting parts at the moment. I'm trying to do it on a piece-meal basis so that the wife doesn't catch me, lol! Next big purchase will be the manifold, hence my question... I'm thinking of giving the whole lot to Vince to build and map, but also heard good things about Dave Walker at Emerald and I thought I'd read you were using one of their ECUs so I wondered if you'd thought of going with them? What took you to Track and Road in the end? Mark
