You're going for a twin back box, 6 tail pipe exhaust system....?

Agree with Supercharged, it's expensive but reassuringly so. Now called VCDS by the way rather than Vagcom for some copyright BS reasons apparently.... Mark

Getting married is such a good day! You'll definitely enjoy it; it's like being Jesus on Christmas day, lol! -
Garages / useless mechanics – That old rant

Do tell if you've found a reputable VAG specialist in the London area.... Mark -
Modern car headlights... is it just me?
MarkFoster replied to Critical_Mass's topic in General Car Chat
Lol, I have an excellent mental image now of the guys from this forum all driving around with one eye shut - perhaps we should organise CF eyepatches with a flip up hinge on them....? -
Really like that bias valve mod Bryn, might have to get you to knock one up for me - whilst your sorting my gearbox, lol! ;)

I'd guess it's a Porsche engine, and has just come out of a Porsche.... :) M.

I think you may find yourself looking for new tyres for them.....

What would You pay for privat plate VRT 12V ??
MarkFoster replied to emu's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah, agree with Bill. You may well find someone with a VRT would be prepared to give you strong money for it but unfortunately that market's pretty small. You could try speaking nicely to someone at Stealth and see if they would put a note on the notice board (if they have one). You need to somehow target places where there are likely to be punters with VRTs.... -
Honestly, until you've spent some time in central London on a week day you ain't seen nothing! Some of the antics of our precious cycling cousins is astonishing; I'm not saying it's their fault but it isn't surprising so many of them get hurt. I definitely agree with recent sentiments in the press that they need their own sections of the road away from everyone else - to protect them and us!

Second vote for the exhaust. I use to get this on mine, more so when turning left..... sounds a bit like you've got someone tied up in the boot and they're having a kick trying to get out! Or at least that's what someone told me it sounded a bit like, ahem.... M.

Just a thought, I think the 12 valve and 24 valve crack pipes are different - certainly 42 Draft Designs do 2 different versions of their crack pipe. Thought it was worth a mention before you assume you can reuse the 12v version... Mark

Can't believe nobody has taken you up on this... I guess you live in the Corrado Forum equivalent of Outer Mongolia Dave, lol! M.

Can I take the fuse box fixings please? Mark

Nice Porker!

What colour are they?

The other issue with welded up roof gutters is that it always makes the boot hinge look a bit, ill-considered....

Rightie-Oh, avoid the Halfords ones then - gottcha! M.

My battery's virtually brand new but that doesn't mean it won't go flat if I leave the car kerb side for more than a couple of weeks. The fact it's parked on the road also means I can't really hook it up to a trickle charger. (This is my runaround A6 by the way not the Rado, obviously...). Another thing that interested me about these starters is that some of them can charge your battery, if you're just looking to top it up, by plugging into the ciggy lighter - sounds very handy and better than trying to run cables out my lounge window and across the pavement, lol! The ones I've seen in machine mart don't seem particularly light weight. They weigh about as much as a battery, which I guess is more or less what they are. Anyone with any first hand experience? Mark

With the onset of winter proper this morning, I was admiring the layer of frost on the car and it occurred to me that the battery may well struggle if left for a couple of weeks (not unusual for me). Has anyone got one of those jump starter things you can get from machine mart or the like? Any recommendations? I've checked the machine mart website and they range in price from £60 to £130. I can understand the difference between the various models (power, basically) but not sure which would be most appropriate for a VR6; do I need 1500 amps or would 900 do...? http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/range/details/jump-starts/path/clarke-jump-starts Thanks in advance Mark

Wowsers, sounds harsh! How is a car classified as 'Euro-1'? Age, engine size, emissions....? Mark
-
Top idea sir, don't suppose you have any pics of how you did this...? Mark

I hate to say it but, I think you're going to have to get those shelves trimmed too to really nail the interior makeover. At least that will get you away from the issue of them being a bit fubarred.... every cloud and all that, lol!

Dave I'd be interested in a section of bumper that was sufficient to fill the tow eye; is it a consistent profile all the way across the bumper, or at least consistent enough to be able to cut a match from what you have left? Give me an idea of price and we can take it from there. Thanks Mark
