dead easy mate. from memory... 1) remove steering wheel (not vital but makes things easier) 2) undo the 2 screws at the bottom left/right of the plastic clock surround, they 'may' have little plastic caps over them, just pop them off. 3) remove clock surround by sliding it towards yourself. 4) look about midway up either side of the clock unit, you should see a small, fairly deep, screw hole on either side. get a little screwdriver into the hole and loosen both screws. you dont need to remove them as the 'holes' the sit in have tabs to stop them falling out and into the dash, which is useful! 5) the front cover of the clock unit should now come away, giving access to the bulb holders. you could remove the entire clock unit to make life a bit easier since its tight in there and getting at the right screws can be tricky, but you dont really 'have' to.

superbly, i've not actually driven a VR without one but my 16v had a standard shifter and felt like rowing a boat on gear changes :? the short shift deffinatly helps sprint times.
-
i'd say more like 98.9% paul ;) If i'm going for it, i change around 5500k since things seem to level out at that point power/torque-wise. It may not be the ideal change point but it seems to work for me!
-
depends on the driver too i guess, i always harp back to the race i had with an s3, I'm positive he should have beaten me but i suspect he couldnt drive it to its full potential (not that I'm saying I can do that with the VR 100% of the time!)
-
looks minty! get rid of those seatbelt pads though... ew!
-
i reckon it'd be pretty close power-wise, although dont the gti's have a 6 speed box? thats going to give them a definate advantage during the launch and first few gear changes.
-
impressive figures! how do you say your surname though MR (long black oblong box)?

just killing time and having a think about wheels. black centered BBS wheels with polished lips have always given me the pot noodle horn, but you dont tend to see many other styles with black middles (the odd porker rim i suppose). anywho, i knocked up a photochop of the lepoardprint g-string'd welshman's old 16v with black centered OZ turbos, then turned my attention to H8RRA's bk299's, since I've just recently aquired a set which really could do with a refurb if i want to use them for anything other than winter wheels. opinions? suggestions? buscuits? donations?
-
yeah i think it only works with certain colours, black, white, silver or grey. it'd look odd on a blue or green car.
-
those turbo's would look nice with black centers and polished lips...

best starting point is the buyers guide, it'll tell you most of what you want to know in terms of what to look out for. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5124 Other than that the best advice has always been to drive a couple of examples of each and see what you prefer since the g60 and vr6 have fairly different engine characteristics.

i'd stick with the 205's to be on the safe side, should be ok with and et38 wheel, but as i say the 215's may well catch a little. Not sure about the rears, i know theres more clearance so you may well be able to run 225's
-
they'll probably catch a little depending on the offset of the 17's
-
205/40 to avoid rubbing with 17's mate
-
i dunno, i quite like the audi 'gape' on the newer models, looks pretty menacing. both the impreza and the evo have really softend up in their last few incarnations and lost the brutal looks which made them famous.
-
look at that nose! when did Seat buy Subaru?
-
how new are your brake pads? maybe they're worn and catching? might sound like a silly/obvious suggestion but its better to ask than assume!

everything listed at the bottom of the 'belts' section which relates to the vr6 really! upper/lower tensioners, guides and chains are the major parts plus some ancilerys like nuts/bolts and so on. theres a very good guide in the KB that 2cc did, but i cant find his parts list (in part 2 according to the guide... wheres that?)
-
and another...
-
parts for doing the vr6 chains/guides etc are considerably cheaper on there...

love the look of decked corrados like ballys and furks, but I couldnt drive it day-to-day, i cringe enough at the splitter scraping over speed bumps... i think i'd be stopping the car to check underneith if i heard the sump/chassis scrape the floor. as has been said, each to their own. as for the handbag situation, calm down chaps! seems a couple of gentle micky-taking prods have been taken the wrong way.
-
according to that thread the nasty green is a norris designs 'corporate' thing, although it looks like kawasaki green to me ;) and the black is C/F. I've always liked evo's (who hasnt?) but they're starting to look a bit tame in standard form. best looking for me was the evo6

i've a feeling the owner posted a few times when this came up before, but i could be wrong. the interior is sexeh, but the bodywork is WAY too OTT for me
