Ha ha I thought it looked familiar. I'm just down the road in Greasbrough.
-
Whereabouts in Rotherham is that?
-
Whereabouts do you work Ben? I've got to try and get to the Northern General now. Not looking forward to it. We've put the Corrado in the garage out of the way. As has been said previously, I dont like the risk that one little bump could kill it.

I'm interested. Good Christmas present for the missus! -
I'm fairly sure I do. I think your right with the condition thing too. I drop the oil every 5k, for the time it takes and the cost I dont mind doing it once a year inbetween a proper service..

Help needed dont know whats wrong(FIXED)(NO NEW ISSUE)
SamG40 replied to philie's topic in Engine Bay
I'd say it will overfuel like a good un if you do that as it thinks its on boost all the time and will chuck loads of extra fuel in. Has the lambda actually been welded in? I've had ones that have been pretty difficult to remove in the past but spraying some plusgas on over a few nights and a good swing on the spanner gets them off eventually. -
Cheers for the advice lads. I bridged the X relay (heater turned on) and it still wouldn’t start on the key. I didn’t have time at the weekend but the next port of call is the wiring loom. Supercharged, when you say the ‘new black type’ for the ignition switch, what do you mean by that?
-
Could this x relay mentioned also stop the car starting on the key? The missus has had the RAC out tonight because the car failed to start and it turned out there was no power to the starter but he tested the ignition switch as fine. He's put a wire on the starter that we can bridge to the battery to start it. His computer said the starter relay also did the reverse lights which arent working either so would this relay be at fault? I've pulled the fourth one from the left as mentioned above and it is labelled 18 with a part number of 191 937 503. Worth trying a new one?

Barbara, after a rather large sow.

Yep I've just used a full tank on a track day today, every little helps as they say.
-
Thats exactly what the missus just said!

Cheers Judith that might be useful yet! Could I take the column mentioned in the thread below out of an existing mirror and swap it into mine? Thus saving having to get a replacement mirror sprayed up? Or could I swap the coloured casings if I got another mirror? http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=73810&p=858421&hilit=lathe+mirror#p858421

I had that with my Virgin box. Luckily I managed to realise and record the second run of it later in the day. Interesting race although the best part for me by far was the near enough full minute or so that Jonathon Leggard actually shut up! Looks like its going to be Alonso though which is a shame. I'd have been reasonably happy with Webber getting the title, he's done a lot of moaning this year though.

Some tit thought it would be a good idea to knock all the wing mirrors off the cars down my missus's sisters street the other night whilst the missus was there visiting. They have knocked the passenger mirror clean off its base and left it swinging on the wires which has of course stratched the paint on the door. I've read a thread on here where someone has said they've mad a new column for the middle when the same thing happened to them (cant find the thread now). What I'm asking is could I buy another random wing mirror and take it apart and get the column out of it to replace the broken on our car? Anyone know how to do this please? This would obviously be easier and quicker to do than replace it and get it sprayed to match etc.

Bruge is nice. I've been a couple of times when on the way to Mania. Sample the waffles whilst you are there, a few places that do them, mmmm. I think we just put tape over the lights the last time we went over, the reflector things were rubbish and stuck to the glass badly so you couldnt get them off when you got back. I thought the spare fuses and bulbs etc were compulsory too?

I replaced my heater matrix at the weekend (what an arse of a job as everyone says) and when I filled up the system again I had this exact same thing. The pipes going in and out were cold but the valve was hot (Im assuming thats the big part of the pipe before the matrix?). I just kept massaging the pipe (ooer) with the engine running and a small section at a time it got hot towards the matrix. After it got through to the matrix it fed through ok and both in and out pipes got hot.
-
Just slightly warm (and I mean just stopped being cold) water poured over the window, as soon as the ice has gone, put the wipers on so it clears the screen and doesnt refreeze if its that cold. Works every time for me and no nasty lengthy scraping.

Yeah as above we joined the AA last year and got top breakdown cover for the Missus and I for a year for £50 because of cashback through quidco. This year we've used our tesco clubcard vouchers and paid nothing for the RAC.

A lot of the ones above annoy me but a big one for me is lane discipline. People who just sail over roundabouts thinking the lines painted on the road are there for a laugh. Being (I like to think) an observant driver has saved me having my front end being taken off on many occasions because you can just see a mile off they are going to cut across your lane. Again, if you dare to give them a toot on the horn, you're somehow the one at fault. Mental. :bad-words: And calm.....

Locking wheel nuts - which type, from where?
SamG40 replied to MonkeyVR6's topic in General Car Chat
If you have got some I'd be interested, the cheapy ones on my car are on their last legs! -
Just a quick thread to say ta to Kev for starting the original thread and idea. Did this tonight and the hardest bit was getting the wires out of the clip! My old expansion tank which was only 18 months old was leaking so hoping to sort two problems at once with this. My wiring and top hose managed to fit without extending anything.
-
Hello all, not sure if this has been covered but does anyone know what these are and what they do? The coil like thing as stuck on the abs pump. This lives in the ABS relay as in the second picture.

I had a leak from there still after replacing my elbow and it was new rad time but I think we've established that! If you've got aircon I'd say its easier just to take the front off as there really isnt much room otherwise. Whilst you've got all that off I'd seriously consider doing the crack pipe and thermo housing and elbow too if they've not been replaced yet. You'll be kicking yourself if they fail a couple of months down the line.

As someone has said in that thread, if my six numbers came up.... I'd love a collection like that, you can keep your Ferraris etc. He must have some serious coin, he always seems to come across as a nice bloke in any threads I've seen with him in too.

Green M reg, unsure of flavour on whitehill lane in Rotherham around 8:15 this morning.
