  1. You don't want to really, nobody lives out this far into the sticks!
  2. I'd gladly help, but I'm from near Andy as well!
  3. I know Jim, I was trying to make a joke about the car being slow. Maybe I was being subtle! Mines a 24v Chuggs, it already has all of the good mk4 tensioner except that one of them is a bit noisey and the one I think it is, is now obsolete.
  4. I've been running the red pas fluid since the rebuild without a snag. Got me worried now!
  5. The turbo must be a bit gummed up then Jim through lack of use?
  6. The top tensioner. The AUE has 3 chains apposed to the rest of the 24v lumps have 2. The tensioner for the top chain is obsolete and I can't find one anywhere. You can buy kits from a few places but none of them include the top part. I'm pretty disgusted with VW to be honest, the doner car is only 12 or 13 years old and to stop doing critical parts at the age when most cars would need them is not good enough. What's more annoying is that I'm after the guide part alone and you have to buy the whole assembly at over £400 quid!
  7. Shameful! I'll wait a year or 2 and then cash mine in for a new kitchen!
  8. I'm itching to see how mine is running. But my timing chains have started making a rattle and vw don't sell all the bits for an AUE lump chain change. Obsolete parts already! Oh well time to save for a 3.2 lump.
  9. Unbolt from the cat and then there should be enough clearance for you to get some tools to the top nuts from above the engine and it should drop out with a bit of wiggling!
  10. Give us a shout, I'm fairly available over the next week or so.

    Crackle black

Truck bed liner. Textured, quick drying, not really bothered by temperature and hard wearing.
  12. That's it, post 93 or 94 (I can't remember) all cars got the wider suspension and just different shocks/springs depending on engine.
  13. All 5 studded vehicles came with the widetrack .
  14. Payment sent - Ready to go whenever you're ready!
  15. And headlight/indicators :-) I like the all red rears too!
  16. Front plate aside, that's quite a cool car! I thought all nuggets were early cars? Welcome by the way!
  17. Hopefully others will jump in on this then.
  18. I'll have one of the b12 kits. Will they accept individual payments and postage out? Might save that hassle of you posting stuff around.
  19. I'm sure once people see a breakdown in prices, then most (including myself) will be happy to suggest a fair price out to us. It's only fair if you are knocking 150/200 of the UK price. Glad it's changed your day for the better chuggs!
  20. Ah I get you! Chuggs, the plus axle stuff is for the 5 stud cars and the normal is for the 4 stud cars. Not too sure on the individual differences but there must be something big enough for them to do 2 versions. All 5 stud cars had a wider track than the 4 stud cars, not sure on how much but 40mm rings a bell!
  21. There should only be 2 version so for the Corrado, a plus axle version and a normal version.
  22. Sometimes the world just hates people!
  23. There we go! I'd say that we could get 10 people easily!
