  1. I agree but I'd say the jump from 288 to 312 is not worth the effort. I've got everything else mentioned above and have gone from 288 to 312 and the improvement was ok but not earth shattering. 288 and some good pads should be all you need.
  2. I think wilwoods do but they're not much cop with serious power according to some. I've never tried them though so I'm only regurgitating what others have said.
  3. Haha, yeah Lincolnshire has some wonderful hills. Not just round 'ere!
  4. A dealer selling a car with an Illegal number plate. Great attention to detail....
  5. A few weeks after fitting the B12's and it has all settled down nicely and that initial harshness around town seems to have gone. Still happy. Took a photo to celebrate.
  6. Our local hermes driver is happy to leave it signed for at a neighbour. We've had loads of stuff from next for the neighbours!
  7. Just tell her straight. I had to when a drunken eBay purchase left me with a 193k rust bucket on the drive. She got over it quick. And now she likes the car. If she can't accept you for being you, get rid, she's obviously more interested in being a parent to you than a friend. Unless you have other financial commitments, in which case you deserve the bollocking haha!
  8. Continental on my 24v. Still looks brand new a year on.
  9. Not being a smart arse or anything but that's not worth the postage. Brand new ones are available and fairly affordable. I'm really not trying to be clever, I'm just trying save you eBay fees.
  10. Do you have a multi meter? If you do, put it on continuity setting and make sure there is a noise when you connect one end of the lead to one end of the wire and the other lead to the other. Google it for a better description.
  11. But if the wire is broken it doesn't matter what the car is doing. If the wire has continuity then the module is bust.
  12. On the top of the fuse box there is a small distribution box with 3 or 4 white-blue wires plug into it. Those are your VSS feeds. Make sure that the module wiring is connected to this distribution box. As said before, buzz it out to make sure the wiring is continuous.
  13. If it is working from the button and you are certain that it is getting a VSS feed, then the module needs replacing.
  14. Just fit an R32 lump and have done with it! No ISV problems then!
  15. It may have been done a few times, doesn't make it boring or the norm! Most people love a good boosted Corrado.
  16. Good workshop skills! I do like a nice build thread!
  17. That's generous of you Sean, Especially after spending 5k on parts...!
  18. If the thread is gone you need a new handle or to have the thread tapped and helicoiled.
  19. Crack the bleed nipple when you are retracting calipers. Saves potentially damaging seals elsewhere that are not used to fluid going in the opposite direction. No need to mess with compensator valves either :-)
  20. Go to the dealer. You'd be surprised at what they sell.
  21. Free help, a couple of hours time and 2 grand profit. Nice.
  22. They are very effective, a minute or 2 is all you need to get the temp right back down. I think the single 11 flows about 1800 cubic feet a minute where as the standard 2 fans do 1100 I think so hugely more effective. I also think the standard fans could pull 30 odd amps on start where these are 7 or so, much less strain on the electrics!
  23. Easy fix, If you open the door, look at the end of it and above where the catch is, there is a bolt. Undo it, it's not too long and that will allow you to remove the handle. Pull the lock part of the handle away from the car. On the picture above, you can see the small bit of white plastic, that part of the handle needs to be slid under the metal at the forward edge of the hole in the door. Do the screw back up with a bit of thread lock if you have some and that's it. Job done. Hope it makes sense!
