Lithium grease is what you need.

To put this out there, my 24v gets 420 to 450 to a tank. Returning on average 32/34 mpg. Something isn't right if you are down on power and using that much fuel! When was the last time it had a proper (including spark plugs) service? You are bound to have said but this is a fast moving thread.

£300 for brakes? I hope you dropped your pants and they never tore them down! Gear selection troubles could be a dodgy slave or master cylinder, a bad release bearing or a pretty worn clutch. Start with the cylinders! The 02a box is quite bomb proof on the whole. It tends to be diffs that are the first thing to go once they get up to very high miles and that's just a nasty noise and not a selection issue. If you're that concerned, an oil change is a quick job and can only improve things.

And welcome to the world of Corrado. All seems ok on the surface, but those brave enough to look further tend to wish they didn't!

That's what I want too but the reality of getting more than 10 people to stump up that amount of cash for a 2/3k car will be tough.

I like the idea of £725 on my door step ready too go!

Or with the Porsche mirrors? Is it even a real one? The side blades look wrong?

Mine are gold, look better than they sound. I'd probably go for silver if I were to do them again.

A small pin hole leak in the matrix mixed with general traffic film will make a mess of everything inside if not kept on top of.

Oh and at this time of year my 24v (different engine, same cooling requirements) sits at 85c and in the middle of summer that rises to no more than 90c with the fans keeping it comfortably below 95c.
-
I'd say that somebody has swapped the thermostat from the standard 85c version for a 70c version to mask a cooling fault. At this time of the year the cold air will keep the coolant at 70 if the thermostat keeps feeding the radiator when's it's not up to temp. A few faults with this, 1 being that until the coolant is above 70, the car will be in warm up mode so using a lot more fuel. Another being that it won't be keeping your oil warm enough so not providing optimum protection and the last major thing being that cool coolant results in a rubbish heater! Get it put back to an 85c thermostat and fix any faults that crop up. Hiding the fault with a thermostat change is a false economy.

Finished another project I've been wanting to do since I got the car on the road. The intake was always a temporary solution as I never had a welder or the skills to make something more permanent. I now have the welder and a bucket load of enthusiasm to make up for the lack of skills! First off, This is what I had before (only with band clamps added) Cut up a 90 and a bit of straight and joined them up Added a Crank case vent, polished the welds up and painted Fitted up It's got the subtle OE look about it which I quite like and removing the silicone pipes and replacing them with nice tough stainless means that I no longer have collapsing pipework under load. Hello torque!! Completely changed the way it goes and gives it a nice little induction bark. -
Quentin Wilson can not host a show, apart from that, decent enough show.

Is it wrong that I really like these?

Went quite well but was horrible in traffic. The gearbox was so dim witted, it was embarrassing to drive! -

I think the mk4 items are more prone to sticking for some reason? In this case, I think it was water in the hand brake lines that had frozen. Hopefully these springs will help. -

After using the car in the freezing weather recently, I have found a weak link in the mk4 rear caliper conversion. It appears that when the handbrake mechanism becomes frozen, it sticks on. A quick Google reveals that it is actually a wide spread issue and is easily fixed by installing a couple of springs. So to that end, a few springs were fitted and I'll monitor to see if it cures the problem. As you can see, my nice new handbrake cables have a split rubber boot on the end of them which obviously isn't helping, but seeing as they are so new, I'm loathed to replace them when the problem could be overcome with a cheap spring. The part numbers are 7H0 615 296 and 7H0 615 295A and cost less than £4 from a dealer. Seeing as I live in the middle of nowhere, It was cheaper to get them from eBay and that worked out to be £7 or so delivered. Fitment is easy if you jack the car up a bit and you don't need to remove the wheel. The springs are strong so don't say I didn't warn you if you catch your finger!
