  1. I can do, not sure how to capture all that with my poor knowledge of 4wd systems :s You're not coming to Combe on Saturday are you? It would obviously be more useful for you to have a good look at it in person. If not, drop me a message if you're anywhere near Shrewsbury soon and you can come and examine it. ---------- Post added at 5:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:33 PM ---------- I go that way a lot but would likely be in the A3 full of camping stuff! Likewise let me know if you're ever in Shrewsbury and you can come and meet it ---------- Post added at 5:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:34 PM ---------- Ye it's clever, you can't really tell from a distance but that huge Evo intercooler needs all the air it can get! Here's a few videos from a rainy afternoon this week. Not very good quality unfortunately. It's amazing how different it sounds from the outside, you can actually hear the VR sound- on the inside it's nearly all turbo noise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV4lZCZtFHQ&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F15gkSdakR0&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjRqCFbNSSk&feature=youtu.be
  2. I remember this was the very first corrado I saw on the road after I bought mine. I hope it will end with someone who looks after it!
  3. Fitted an uprated loom on the VRT. About the 1st job ever on a corrado that I haven't hit a load of problems doing. I felt like I had missed something when it took 15 minutes and all worked ok!
  4. I've got FK conigsport coilovers on the new one and the rears creak a lot- it doesn't bother me a great deal but would be interested to know if there's a way to quiet them a bit?
  5. Good work! Some classics in there.
  6. Received this morning and fitted- excellent instructions, thanks again.
  7. Ok, so it stopped raining for half an hour and I got some pics. I think most people know what the car as a whole looks like, so I tried to get some of the gadgets and clever bits:
  8. Don't try and make me feel guilty again, I remember what that wad of cash looked like on your table remember! :) Will be good to see you, I told you you'de see it again soon see?
  9. It shows how much of an impression these cars make when we hear of so many people 'coming back' to Corrados! Welcome back!
  10. Ye I will have a go at fitting it and if I get stuck maybe you can help on 14th.
  11. I know, I know but it won't stop raining. Videos will be done soon as that's the only way to do it justice!
  12. Post would be best for me as I'm not sure I can get down that early. Many thanks for arranging this.
  13. I've managed to be very restrained so far and only drive it once or twice a week! I'm getting a bit more used to it now but it still feels special each time I get into the driving seat. It does occassionally cut out when I dip the clutch when coming to a stop, usually after a blast. It's fairly easy to avoid this by feathering the throttle a bit but I will have it looked at when it gets MOT and service in September, as I don't want it cutting out on a track! I'm also getting an uprated headlight loom. I was supposed to be selling the wheels (request from Isla after spending some of our house deposit on the car :s ) But the first thing she said when she saw the car was 'those wheels are gorgeous!' and she hasn't mentioned selling them since.. shhhhhh! We have had an offer on a house accepted and I'm sad to say there isn't a garage- but there is a load of room for a car port, so coupled with the car cover, I'm hoping that will keep it safe and dry. It will be going to Castle Coombe in a few weeks so hopefully see some of you there.
  14. Shame to hear you're selling, I'm sure you will be back to Corrados in the future. Hope to see you still at some shows though, remember you still have to have that ride in the Ribena Beast?
  15. Agree its not in a good way. The lack of respect for the ref is another thing that's shocking when compared to most other sports.
  16. I read this today, very funny. I think the point is that they won the tournament and put 4 goals past Italy and yet everyone is laying into them! If England won the tournament and played as Spain did, I don't think there would be any complaints!
  17. Obviously inpros don't have cleaners or self levelling, but the reflectors are designed for HIDs aren't they?
  18. I didn't realise that, best stick to getting just the uprated loom then
  19. Well, my mate drove the G60 away today... I was very sad to see it go- this was my first proper 'fast' car, and the first one I really loved. I should see plenty of it in the future and it will always have a special place in my heart. He had a trip out in the VRT too today with another one of my other mates in the back- it was great fun seeing them grabbing bits of the interior with terror as I came off roundabouts! :)
  20. Anyone?? I have tried the search but I'm only finding stuff from 5+ years ago so thinking there may be some newer info.
  21. My new C doesn't have Kurzy's excellent uprated loom on, so I'm back to horrid standard dim bulbs... I went for the uprated loom on the G60 as I had standard headlights. I then changed to inpros and output was even better, but now the inpros are on the new car I thought I'd look into going the whole hog with some HIDs. Should I get the uprated loom AND a HID kit? What are the best 'off the shelf' kits for Corrados? I am pretty good at following technical stuff if I have some good instructions, but I am hopeless at electronics, so don't want to buy a load of stuff that won't work / I don't know how to fit!
  22. I have one that fits perfectly from carmart or something similar sounding. I added some heavy duty velcro straps that go underneath the car to stop it coming off in the wind. The only issue is that it's letting a bit of water through now it's a few years old. Will get some pics when I'm home.
  23. I'm not going to add to the old 'which ones better', as the main points have been made, but it is worth noting that if you like to upgrade bit by bit on a budget, G60s are very rewarding, and after a few hundred pounds of bits they can make more power than a VR. However I believe you can turbo VRs :) ...
  24. I can make this so am up for the CCGB stand- however I think my membership has lapsed! Shall I renew through the website? If I remember correctly, Eric (Tempest) organised this a few years ago and Autometrix wanted the money for the session paid in full before the day, so he had everyone paypal him the amount once 12 cars had committed. Given it's only 2 weekends away now, I doubt you will get that many committing to tracktime. Might be best just to say anyone that wants track time to organise it themselves through Autometrix?
