I'm sleeping in the shed... nearly! I know what you mean, it was a bit too close to Christmas tbh and I've had plenty of grief from the other half but luckily she loves the the corrado's too so 'just got away with it':-D

Just picked up a genuine storm grey vr6 with heated cream leather, my 5th! after selling my green vr6. I let the green one go purely because I couldn't warm to the colour, (it was a steal of a buy) and the windscreen leaked like a sieve which would of been a massive job. Anyhow I've bought Adam_sky's vr6 which was his mothers car since 2006 and apart from the rear drivers arch which needs sorting its mechanically pretty good and totally standard! My old vr6 is just round the corner and the chap wants to revert the car to standard so I may put the koni's on and also a Bmc air filter for the time being. Looking forward to returning this one to its former glory as it's my favourite colour and also love the contrasting interior, there can't be many storm greys with cream heated leather and a clear glass 'moonroof??' sunroof surely?? Here's a couple of pics from when I got her home today and ill maybe start a build thread of the bodywork which needs some attention.
-
Cheers for the pics and thanks for the bump:-D

It looks like someone has ground down part of the bar, (done quite well) to clear maybe a pipe or a non standard engine part. If it fits a vr6 then I can't see it not fitting a 16v? But if you need a measurement I can sort one out for tomorrow? pretty sure it would fit though

This front strut brace was sold to me as H&R but there are no markings present. Overall in ok used condition with fitment marks and also a modifying mark as shown in pic, comes without fixing bolts. When mounted no marks can be seen I paid £45 for this posted and I would like to return as near as I can Please pm or call Matt on 07866474147, thanks - See more at: http://s775.photobucket.com/user/maff125/media/image_zps4976072c.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2#sthash.HBAYaXSd.dpuf - See more at: http://s775.photobucket.com/user/maff125/media/image_zpsfe9f6c6a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1#sthash.QCDEIHxg.dpuf - See more at: http://s775.photobucket.com/user/maff125/media/image_zps635468f1.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0#sthash.69XNjs7d.dpuf

Right, hang on so your gonna clean the inside of the hoses? because what the hell are wrong with the ones I have sold?? Does everyone have sunstroke today?? Mine are sold for £130, very very happy customer, so I wouldn't waste your time posting pictures of pristine samco hoses ok, cause erm I'm not interested!
-
Well I was perfectly happy with it, and paid more than you! It really isn't as bad as you make out! it's used for goodness sake! Send it back to me and you can have a refund, either that or I'm gonna get attacked in a minute, I've already had a fellow member being totally out of order about the samco hoses!

I'm sure these mounting cups were alloy, they were very light and hence why they have fitment marks. ---------- Post added at 3:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:05 PM ---------- Wesley you ended paying £28 for this strut brace, as you only payed £10 for postage and it cost me 6 pence short of £12 to post it?! I'm really wasn't trying to pull the wool over anybody's eyes here, I was happy with it and I paid £40! Fitment marks come from an item that has previously been used, if you want new buy new? ---------- Post added at 3:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:08 PM ---------- Please? samco hoses shot to bits? read the listing... used do they really look shot to bits??? these are £300 brand new. Mods have a word please, out of order. ---------- Post added at 3:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:24 PM ---------- Please? samco hoses shot to bits? read the listing... used do they really look shot to bits??? these are £300 brand new. 288's reduced to £50!
-
Ill do it for £35, with postage on top, I think postage will be around £10 because of the awkward size of the parcel Any good to you?
-
It's in good used condition, no scratches on the bar but just some masking tape that needs peeling off. There are some fitment marks on the top mount collars but nothing to bad

I'm selling a few of my parts which i'd planned to put onto my vr6 but i've decided to sell them on. Sticking within the forum guidelines, if anyone is interested please post or pm me and we can go from there. Right first off is a set of seven blue samco hoses for a corrado vr6, these are used but in very good condition, £125 Posted SOLD A full set of 288mm brakes which are a great upgrade for the corrado vr6 and fit under the standard speedlines, including discs, pads (plenty of life), calipers and carriers and mounting bolts £50 Would prefer collection but can packaged up for a courier to collect. Corrado vr6 strutbrace. This was sold to me as a H&R strut brace, its very well made but there are no identifying marks £40+postage SOLD

I'm going!:-) -
You sure do like v5's Tom! Gotta say after owning a mk4 150gti diesel which was remapped I do quite miss the old mk4, mine had heated leather too, fully loaded, lovely car but I sold that a bought a 330d sport saloon which I use daily and to be honest it wipes the floor with my old mk4 for steering feel and general all round ability. Trying to think why you sold your 2004 330cd which had the cracking later 204bhp engine in over the mk4? I do secretly like the v5's though, must be the relation to the vr6 and the fact they are cheap compared to a gt tdi! Still got my corrado vr6 for a proper drive out though;-)
-
Lowest you can let these go for? cheers Matt

If you want bang for buck go pc, but i've always been apple purely cause of a graphic design background, but i have just changed my old trusty powerbook g4, (cause it won't sync with my iphone 5 and wont play flash vids) which i purchased in 2004 and has stood like a trooper for a macbook pro which is an awesome machine but at the end of the day they are a tool for a job and whatever you do most of you should choose mac/pc

The real ace up the VR6s sleeve is the 30-70 time of 5.7sec as it can be done in fewer gears but this time is PROPER quick even relative to todays fast cars Very true, in the top trumps stakes the vr6 does really well! sierra cosworth 30-70 5.7secs e46 m3 4.9, fiat coupe turbo 20v 5.2, my own corrado vr6, timed at 5.2 and my old classic impreza running 300bhp 4.9 I find you have to drive the living daylights out of the vr6 to get it to go anywhere though! But a good drivers car has never been all about outright power but about how the car feels on the road, and gotta say i've never really hankered after a g60 but.... went to buy some corrado bits from a fellow member the other day and he had a nugget yellow g60 with 60,000 miles on the clock and that to me was a more desirable ownership propasition than a vr6, it was very special, in the same way i can't get a phase 1 clio willaims out of my head!
-
Hmm, i quite like these... must resist!
-
Great pics:-) they've obviously designed the crank pistons/combustion chamber to reduce the load on the outside of the bores then as the piston isn't travelling straight down, interesting! I am now more knowledgeable!
-
I thought that's how they got round it;-)
-
Good reading but I still cant understand if the crown of the piston is level with the top of the block at TDC? if you know I mean? or are the pistons cast to be level as they meet the top of the block or TDC? Still don't get that bit??
-
edit... I know it's a bird ;-) but what's she got tattooed on the front:-D
-
Cheers jim, it's all clear now... lol! But is that a bird, bloke or photoshop!
