  1. Any more news on here? After the long haul to get 10 guys interested would be good to get some confirmation on the order item spec, cost and deposits in place to secure production asap. Don't want folks getting bored or despondant about the purchase and having to start over again. Sam, I will send Mike message to hopefully get him on the case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ditto Darren, taxed mine on the 1st so after a long Winter wait I'm out every chance I get. Will see you tommorrow. My mobile no. Is 07974020031 give me tx when you arrive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. As you say, this is deffinately not right. Given that you have checked that all the attatchment points are ok and the top mount is as it should be, them the only way it can be so is if the damper itself has collapsed internally. Are you sure there is not a spring break on the affected side? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Eric i have PM'd you my details, could you confirm receipt for my peace of mind. Thanks.

    Vr6 exhaust

I have a stainless steel used system which is well made and in good order. Am selling for £175.00 plus carriage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Your problem is due to mechanical deffect or air in the system. The simplest way to bleed air out of the clutch system is to back bleed it with a syringe. You simply need to buy a large capacity plastic syringe, to which you will secure 200mm of washer jet hose. Fill the syringe with fresh brake fluid and ensure you displace any trapped air in the syringe. Push the hose onto the slave cylinder bleed nipple, open the nipple with a 12mm spanner, then empty the entire contents of the syringe into the slave cylinder. If done correctly this will quickly and efficiently bleed air out of the system, by displacing it back into the reservoir. This method will also protect the master cylinder from any damage caused by moving the piston beyond the normal swept area. If this does not correct your fault then replace the slave cylinder with a genuine upgraded resin bodied unit. The most common cause of hydraulic system failure is due to internal corrosion, caused by water absourbed by the hygroscopic brake fluid. For this reason the resin bodied slave cylinders were introduced and more importantly your hydraulic fluid should be changed every two years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Bonnet Lifters

Lol, did the same as you some time ago now and guess what ------ i too have a single bonnet strut kit if anyone wants it. I gave up on bonnet lifters as too much hassle and instead bought a much lighter carbon fibre bonnet, which is a pleasure to open ;-).
  10. For my part, and in response to the questions posted, this is what i would choose: 1. No rear wiper hole or raised mounting point, as rear wiper is a redundant issue with the raked screen angle. 2. With the plinth i am happy to go with the popular view of making it a separate entity, giving all the choice of deleting it totally. 3. The OE spoiler mechanism and operation must fit as was in the steel hatch. Mike has allready made for me a Carbon rear wing which is readily available to all now. 4. The OEM locking latches and mechanism must fit into the carbon replacement hatch and function as was. 5. I am entirely happy to pay half the totall sum as a deposit. In answer to some of the other questions you guys have raised, Mike will send any of his products to foreign destinations for the additional carriage cost involved. Mike does not currently offer any composite construction wings for the Corrado, but that is not to say never. If another group buy was organised or to roll off the back of this one i would certainly support it for the late style wings. Indeed Mike has a pair of VR6 wings at the ready for moulds to be taken. Regarding discounts on additional purchases ie bonnets, Mike is receptive to the principal but alot will depend upon the individual merits of that persons overall purchase value. The cost of these rear hatches is, as a guidline, going to fall in line with the equivalent composite construction bonnet from Performance Trim, which given the work involved in manufacture is excellent value for money.

  18. VR6 having a spongy brake pedal post works, which involve opening the hydraulic system, is a common phenomenon. Given that you have thoroughly bled out the system with fresh fluid, confirmation of this will be if the brake pedal does not "pump up", then you can try bleeding out the master cylinder this sometimes works. If not, and all else is as it should be, then careful use of the car will see the normal pedal response return after a week of use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. VR6 rear calliper carriers are retained in the conversion and will accept MK4 rear callipers. The flexible hoses from the Mk4 can be used at a pinch. But they come as a flexible hose and metal pipe attatched to each other so not a Ideal as you would need to partially re-shape the metal pipes to fit the Corrado rear beam. Best plan is to use either Passat 3B rear banjo hoses and banjo bolts, or buy Goodridge braided conversion hoses from companies like Venom Motorsport and these come with banjo bolts.
