We can supply you a chip for your ECU that will compliment the mods on your G60. We have specialised in Corrado since 1994 and carry all manner of tuning works, in addition to the routine maintenance. Please feel free to contact me at work Mon to Fri 01903718684. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, John. JMR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silver is indeed a rare colour, out there on a Corrado. I think they look great, way back in '93' when I bought my Corrado I had the option on a silver G60, but sadly it was too badly damaged to be economically repaired. It's your car and you can do as you please with it, but if you are asking for opinions from other enthusiasts, then I say enjoy standing out from the crowd. My own car is Ink Blue, and whilst I love it, blue Corrados are hardly unusual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How much are you guys wanting for the frames you have, including postage please. Look forward to hearing from you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for your reply. Ideally I could do with these much sooner. But if you could let me know when they become available anyway. If nothing else comes along beforehand these would be useful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need the frame bases for two Corrado front seats. Not fussed how this is presented, be it complete seats or just the bases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would doubt very much if that price includes wiring loom and oil pressure sender! One of my customers recently sourced this VDO console additional instrument pod from ARZ in Germany, and he had to pay allot more than this. This deal Is a rare bargain. The wiring loom I made with ease, and the plug is available from main dealer. The oil pressure sender is readily purchased from any VDO gauge stockist. My customer ordered his twin pole M10x1 sender from Merlin Motorsport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Smoothed Corrado roofs, however one feels about the aesthetics, do most certainly pose the annoyance of water that drains from the roof will poor straight in through an open door window. Love or hate the rubber trims, they do function to prevent this issue. When we designed the final draft of the prototype carbon roof, I wanted to delete the rubber trims but retain a shallow gutter to replace them, this channels roof water to the front and rear screens respectively. Corrados generally are well protected from corrosion, given that they were zinc coated and wax treated from the factory. Corrosion areas on the body are typically caused by neglect to repair body damage and poorly repaired damage by alleged professionals. The other areas to watch out for are underneath the car. In particular at the sill jacking points where unprotected trolley jacks have been used to raise the car. Also where the underbody vinyl has become impaired and has allowed water to get underneath and corrosion to get a hold. Favourite spots are where rear ABS sensor wiring passes through the chassis, and next to the rear beam mounts. Checking a prospective purchase for corrosion is about being thorough and well within any would be buyers ability, no need to pay out for this. May a good job of it here and one major cost will be minimised. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have fitted Corrados with many different suspension kits over the years, both conventional and coilovers. My personal recomendation for your Corrado is the KW Variant 1 inox line coilover kit . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've got a carbon fibre roof, thats pretty "smooth" :-) ! I have sorted smoothed roofs for other Corrado owners, but decided against it for my own car as it would add to the weight, and water annoyingly runs straight into an open door window. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would be interested in a set of illuminated needles. Can these be supplied without the back Lit facias. Will I also require your power supply and illumination source? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Easy test for front mount check is to have a mate observe the engine with the bonnet open, while you apply the handbrake firmly, put the car in gear, and gently apply load to the engine by easing up the clutch. The object is not to move the car forward, but moreover just to apply load onto the front engine mount. If the mount is faulty the engine will be clearly seen to have excessive upward rotational movement at the front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You won't be able to buy these anywhere. The clip is a part of the plug and only available as a complete unit through dealer. Your best bet would be to make your own from spring steel wire. Even this seems far too much hassle, if you only require one or two. Go and get a plug from dealer or the breakers yard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Totally with the golden rule on this one fella. No point creating at greater cost that which you could buy much more cheaply, and furthermore with far less hassle. If you want a power upgrade the choice is vast and allot more satisfying than a bog standard VR6 (no offence to VR owners ;-) )From retro forced induction 16v to TFSI's with diesels in the mix just for devilment. The only restriction is the type of use and your budget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Front skirt / Bumper / spoiler back to black ?
16VG60 replied to Crispy Squirrel's topic in Exterior
For many years now I have found bar far and away the best way to restore many vehicle exterior black plastic unpainted trims is to carefully apply heat to them with a hot air gun. This process works supremely well and furthermore is longer lasting than any aftermarket treatment. I would recommend that anyone wanting to learn this technique, and practice it for the first time, seeks advise from someone who knows how, and practices on an old trim. The results of this process leave you with trims that look like new, with a deep OEM sheen. Try it, you wont buy any other product again,be it Autoglym or otherwise, and save the peanut butter for your sandwiches! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thanks for the heads up on your Recaro frames. I think they would be a bit too good to be cut up for parts! All I require is a pair of old standard cloth seats, the trim condition is irrelavent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands

Nice one Eric, put me down for this one. Had a great time earlier this year, when a bunch of us staged a Southern area meet, and drove to Brooklands for Breakfast. A day enjoyed by all, with so many interesting exhibits to see from the world of Motorsport and aviation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Mildly entertaining, but in common with many ongoing long term shows, this I feel has lost allot of its lustre. Whilst i have no particular desire to visit India, some of the views were stunning. I did laugh however at the connection of May's brakes to the horn! It reminded me of when I did the same deed, many years ago,to my brother in laws wedding day get away car!! I require a pair of front seat base frames. However this might be presented, ie a pair of seats that are excessively worn or what have you. All I require is the runner feet to adapt some custom built frames I am making at the moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, I have a carbon roof on my Corrado, indeed it is the first produced by the now deceased Performance Trim. Bummer that they went down as I lost £350 deposit on a carbon tailgate, without so much as a response to my numerous calls or a letter. The roof itself is a good product and strips 30kg off the cars weight, and more importantly from the top of the chassis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Simon, Two different types of twin gauge display were offered for the Corrado. The early cars had the option of a facia panel which would accept two VDO gauges. The late facelift interior Corrados had the option of a twin instrument pod which was a much more comprehensive piece of kit. The item I think you have incorrectly bought is a LHD version of the facelift instrument pod. The early and late options will only fit the respective dash they were designed for. So if you have an early car and want late instruments in the centre console you willneed to fit a late type fittings into your dash. The early gauge facia is now obsolete. The late instrument pod for RHD cars is available from ARZ in Germany. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
