To fit the S2 calipers (Girling G60), all you need is a set of calipers + S2-pads. Use the stock 280mm discs. I have the mod on mine. Unfortunaly I haven't been able to track the car after I've installed them, but I've tried them on the street, and they do feel nice! Haven't tried them under 15" either, though they are a bit larger.. Depends on the wheel I guess..? Attached are some images (trying to) show the difference when installed.. The red ones are the S2 calipers.. The image with them fitted to the car is with 16x7.5" Borbet A - ET25.. Plenty clearance.

My experience with running "emulated narrow band mode" is that it doesn't always work as intended.. :( A friend had some problems, and it was fixed with adding a normal o2 sensor as well. Normal one hooked up to the digifant, the other one to the gauge.. Worth a shot if all else fails?

This :-) According to the Bentley the cooling fans should've been on atleast once, and the engine should then be rev'ed to over 3'000 three times iirc, so you're certain it comes into warm mode. I usually set it at approx. 8-9, for a bit more "umph".. Depends on your chip/setup though! Just be careful, as you turn the distributor the revs can suddenly increase alot if the timing was out, so tell the one keeping the throttle steady to be aware! I'd also recommend you find the " | " mark on the flywheel (not the "0") through the inspection-hole before you start doing the timing work. And put some white tipex(?) or something on the " | " mark, so you can easier find it.

Oh... Just what I need..! I can't really afford it, but what the hell. Bought and paid. Thanks :-)

Lower your car they said, it would be fun they said!!!!

I'd imagine the toe would be a bit off here? Had the same "problem" on my Golf, wore through a set of front-tires in 100km! And it didn't feel all to bad to drive still. The toe-in was ridiculus when I measured it.. :-p -
Interested :)

Hello, 02m gearbox I presume? From a 4cyl or 6cyl car? 1st gen or 2nd generation haldex..? :)

Would you somehow be able to ship (or deliver) this to "RH15 9TJ"? I don't need the tunnel, but the rest I'm interested in.. Also, is the boot floor "complete", or has a few centimeters of it been cut away from the sides? Probably won't matter, just would be good to know.

As stated above, you have to trim the plastics below the speaker/magnet.. :)

I got that message earlier today when accessing the forum, but not been a huge problem.. I don't really mind getting them either though... ;)

Carbs can be quite fun if done correctly.. :-) Running 2x double 51.5mm Weber IDA's on my beetle, runs quite "smoothly" and goes like hell... On topic though, seen carbs (usually webers) fitted to some 16V's here in Norway.. Looks nice, sounds nice and if done correctly, runs sweet..

These are known to get bad with age, so personally I wouldn't bother with a second hand one. They might look fine, but they're not. I myself bought a brand new one from the dealer about a year or so ago. It was expensive, but worth it. Otherwise you could get the USP Motorsport Stainless Steel clutch line. If I had known about this one when I replaced mine, I'd get this instead. Cheaper, and probably works better.. :) http://uspmotorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=467

Brilliant :D

From what I remember, the 256 and 280mm calipers are the same, but as you mention, the carriers are different. So iirc you need: G60 (280mm) carriers G60 280mm discs G60 brake pads.. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I know, all it's for is to help the radio reception (reduce noise?).. :-)

No idea if this helps, but here's the info on the co-pot from the VW self-study manual..

I guess your local stealership will have this. They had for my G60 (in Norway though..) Otherwise, maybe GSF or similar stores might have it. Be careful when inserting them, they're brittle and easily destroyed.

The one I used was the bolt that holds the belt clip (kinda under the rear seats).. If that makes sense? :)

I have a Febi oil pump in my G60, and it's been all good so far. Though only driven 20'000-ish km... :-)

Yeah, my experience is also that you have to re-tighten them after a few weeks or so. I've done mine according to the Bentley - you should be able to move the washer by pressing lightly against it with a screwdriver. Then after a few weeks, re-check (re-tighten), and no problems since.. :-)

I had that problem on mine.. I fixed it by loosening the screw, and moving the handle a few cm out (don't have to disconnect the harness), then spray everything with some lubricant. I also sprayed on the mechanism on the side of the door. Helped alot on mine! Now they're alot easier to open also.. Worth a shot? :) I used Würth HHS grease (same as many people use in the G-lader when doing the boost-return mod.)
