  1. Biggred is a good place to start.
  2. The 10w-50 would be ideal! Cheers Guy Cheers chaps!
  3. Could you recommend an oil for a Supercharged VR6 please?
  4. Cream looks sweet. That's up there as one of my favourite colours on a Corrado. Suits it so well.
  5. It's about 55p round me. Saw a guy filling up a V8 Disco today and had a chat with him. He gets an effective 30mpg out of it with very little change in performance. As said though, you need to cover a good few miles before you make back the cost. Plus you've got the ballache of an extra tank (which is the preferred option I think).
  6. What does an in-line headlight fuse do then?
  7. How much are you charging for a detail like that? PM if you want!!
  8. My MPG is reading 54 and I'm getting around 24. A supercharger will do that apparently
  9. Good man, glad to see that even with a GTR sat in the drive you'll be keeping the C!
  10. My mate picked his GTR up last week - Black Edition. It is an awesome car and he's dead chuffed but said it is nigh on impossible to park - it's huge and the rear visibility is terrible! He lives in and works in a city centre...a Lambo would have been more practical! I know that these cars aren't bought for they're practicality but be careful not to curb it! On that note, he also took it into a multi-storey (pillock) and got stuck - he now has an offside front alloy which needs replacing as the only way he could get it out was to scrape it out!! DOH! Full set of tyres £1800. Full brake service required at 20,000 and approx. cost of £3000 he thinks. I don't think he quite foresaw the running costs! I just hope you're doing more private than he is - he's a GDP too!!
  11. Rain-X is the don! I regularly drive in heavy rain without my wipers going and can see no problem. Water still beads on the rear screen but get the wiper off, no need for it & it looks so much better without it.
  12. Looks like some hard work has gone into that!! Is this another Jay Renshaw in the making?!
  13. I know!! It was funny! Just wish I had the readies to go straight to turbo but hey ho, one day!! What were you having done??
  14. I'd go along with that! :D Greasegriff - 296 sounds good and looks the part with wing vents! Would be interested to see the bhp and torque curves. Did Vince set it up to run with MAF or have you gone MAFless? With MAF. I've heard this can lead to stalling issues but mine seems good so far. As in the VR6 DOHC cover?? Yes mate, i had a small crack in one but had it plastic welded and then painted silver but while it was being done someone offered us another that was ready to go so we fitted that hence this spare one. £25 posted Sounds spot on mate. PM me payment details. Cheers :salute:
  15. Standard other than Schimmel 263 cams and the supercharger kit. And a damn good service with new plugs, oil etc etc. The only problem when you do these things is that you're teased by seeing what else is available when you pick your car up. On show at Stealth on Saturday was Greg's turbo conversion. They'd just taken it out for a spin with the traction control system fitted and by the smile on Greg's face, I think it worked quite well!! So, next on the list, turbo!
  16. Bristol VW Fest @ Easter Compton on the 12th June is close for you :) We have 16 on the stand so far  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=90634 Ah, that's the one I was thinking of. I'm in Birmingham for a wedding for that one. That's probably as close as they come for me too!
  17. It is indeed! Good luck with your sale - if it wasn't for me just wanting to drive mine, I'd have the water/meth kit off you!!!
  18. Yeah, bigger injectors I think - they came as part of the kit I bought. No hole in the wing but I am tempted to add one...I really like the look of them! I'm going to try and get to a show this year but I'm at a flaming wedding for one of them! Not sure which...3rd July??
  19. OK, just a quick update as I now have the car back plus supercharger!! What a bit of kit!! Stealth managed to tease 296.5bhp out of it with 244.5 lb/ft of torque and it makes one hell of a difference!! I'll get some graphs up at some point but to be honest, I'm not too worried about what the numbers are....it's quick, makes me smile and I would recommend it to anybody!! The perceptive ones out there will notice the Schrick did not get fitted as the supercharger kit was piped and ready to go on a standard manifold. The Schrick is therefore up for sale (see below) The remarkable thing is, it's completely usable!! OK, in first you can't bury your foot straight down (I tried this and there was muchos squeeling!) but get into 2nd and especially third and the thing just takes off!! I was slightly concerned that I was going to have a completely unusable car that was going to overheat, rip my tyres to bits and make hideous noises but it makes all the right noises, holds around 100 degrees (I haven't caned it yet) and goes like stink!! I've now got for sale a few bits which are redundant after having it fitted so have a look....http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=92674#p1067663 She now needs a good wash and I'm going to try my hand at claying her next weekend maybe!!
  20. Haha! That's what I'm putting into the VR6 and that's before I pick her up tomorrow with the 'charger!
