Ignition on, out of gear and being careful! put 12V to the starter solenoid, if it winds over you have a an ign switch or wiring issue, if there's silence suspect the starter (both presuming the battery is indeed charged?).
-
Welcome, you need to state where you live if you want one to one type help?
-
I'm not sure what they're like yet as the wheels are still on
-
Some have said you can fit a VR6 bell housing to a 16V box for virtually the same thing (slightly different gear ratios), I have the box, still looking for a bell housing.....
-
I had callipers and carriers in the sale section, you'll need carriers. I'll have 312s for sale next week too (currently finishing off breaking a BAM engine TT).
-
Some? Callipers and carriers? Yes, but you need to used MK3 golf GTi / VR6 288mm disks (not MK4 as they're the wrong off set - but you can use them with spacers between the carrier and the knuckle ala 312mm conversion)
-
They've just sent me may54, so maybe the previous one doesn't work? Try both
-
Not to mention weird noise above 10MPH - gearbox? •Interior Leather is not in great condition... Brakes need replacing, bodywork not the best •PAYMENT VIA BANK TRANSFER ONLY, to have been received by collection date (having problems verifying Paypal account) - of course I will, even before I've seen it in the flesh and you having zero feedback..............

MEAutomotivenis Based in Cannock but is Willing to Travel quite far if he can earn a living from the work, he does a lot on T5s so a clutch on a Corrado would not phase him
-
I wonder if these would fit / could be adapted? Or even if they're willing to remanufacture some for the C? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-IBIZA-CORDOBA-CADDY-1993-to-02-Wiper-Motor-Linkage-Push-Rods-WipexKit-83-/172330278338?hash=item281faf5dc2:m:mr8cNob-Nf2SAjBQpD_Se8w

I've had a look again at the hole, most likely the shard of missing case is on the road somewhere - large scrape on the outside and a tiny hole not big enough for the shard to get inside. Chin up pal :)
-
JB weld over the hole and run it (check oil level), if the lump gets into the gears its quite soft and will mash up to dust, do 1K miles then drain the oil, if worst come to the worst a used gearbox is £150. I'm sure someone will snap your hand off for a storm at £1500.......... Whereabouts are you if you're serious?
-
I was hoping the higher prices of cars would see less cars being broken due to it being financially not viable, but used spares prices seemed to have doubled too....
-
You need to look under the dash as you operate the pedal with your hand and see what's happening, if all looks good check the gearbox end. I'd then remove the slave and see if its piston would move / allow the pedal to move again.
-
It sound mechanical rather than hydraulic, any previous niggles with the pedal? The clutch fork is a known failure Before my slave burst i had issues when the pedal not returning fully to its upper position, my thrust bearing gives a little chirp in use too (my car is sorn and hopefully several of the bigger jobs waiting will get rectied this year, clutch, fuel tank breathers oil leaks Etc)

I'm looking for my dads old VR6 Storm (Northern Ireland)
Dox replied to Chris85's topic in General Car Chat
Was your dad the first Owner? Christian name and initial would help -
A failed Slave usually leaks onto The floor via the bellhousing
