Bristol Volksfest - Convoy details on p5
CazzaVR replied to CazzaVR's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Yeh, mine arrived a couple of days ago 8) -
Boost Monkey was selling one in good nick- check out the classifieds ;)
-
Sounds slightly high IMHO. I was recently quoted £350 to do both front wings, a-pillars + roof, tailgate (just the part under the spoiler). This quote was from a very good bodyshop.
-
Those are the brackets, not the actual mounts. Don't buy cheapy replacements- false economy. Either go VW or invest in some Vibratechnics or VF mounts. You can also get a set of poly inserts from German Ebay, that will do a good job, but will be pretty cheap. You use them with the old mount housings.
-
Absolutely awful time to sell a car like a VR at the mo. A blackberry 1995 VR with cream leather and full engine rebuild went for £1500 the other day. Madness!

Welcome, pretty sure it's this: 535857543, but think it's obsolete. Check out the breakers classifieds- sure you'll find one in there :)
-
Sounds like he'll get done-the police wouldn't pursue it if they just thought it was some minor incident. Hope they nail him!
-
Sounds like Drew's ;)
-
Use an ice scraper and plenty of white spirit. Disolv-it is also very good- it's an aerosol and you find it in the washing powder section in supermarkets. It's identical to the orange smelling glue remover VW use ;) You can buy the later sound proofing from VW- over £100! The earlier one is obsolete, so I'd just get the paint clean and shiny and leave it if you have an early bonnet.
-
Early. A previous owner will have changed the bonnet ;)

My wife had to renew on the vRS today. Chris Knott offered £480 (up from £380 last year). They wouldn't budge on that, even after getting a £330 quote from Admiral. Tried HIC after reading this thread- best they could do was £480! :( Went back to Admiral and got a multicar quote... vRS £301, VR6 £263. All mods declared, voluntary excess of £150, protected no claims etc etc. Absolute bargain!

Looks nice and standard 8)
-
Well done, Karl. Get some pics up 8)

They come with those plastic things that you wind into the carpet.

As Jim said, Graham at DG really knows his stuff. Other than that, aren't C&R Enterprises based in the Notts area? Defo worth a look. ---------- Post added at 12:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:16 PM ---------- Here you go: http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk/. One of the co-owners, Steve Cresswell used to be on the Forum a lot under the name of 'Crasher'.

Could be the circlip on the gear lever, under the gaitor. Have a look here.

Dark early Rado driving down towards the M5, J14 from Tortworth/Charfield/Wotton direction at around 5pm tonight. I waved, but don't think you saw me.

Admiral are always pretty competative, and are one of only a handful of companies not to put their premiums up this year by 25%.

Are all the mounts OK? -
Gonna have a go next time I drive the vRS ;) Don't think I'll get near 48 though!
-
Something not quite right...top mounts (with pictures)

Have you looked here? -
Stop showing off! Seriously though, that's awesome economy! 8)

...then use some harsh language. Should do the trick. ---------- Post added at 08:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:26 PM ---------- @ widowmaker! Good point Jim- good trolley jack and stands is a must!

Not sure on the looms- some are definately different. I swapped a late black for my early grey, but kept the early switches.
