  1. Nice pic, Dave 8) She's going on Friday night now, so at least I've got another day :) Picking the Lude up on Sunday. Know it's not VAG and it's a little soulless, but it's a nice mota in very good nick. It's been very well maintained and will hopefully be very reliable. It's just had new clutch, rad and cambelt/tensioner etc etc. Details: 1997 Honda Prelude 2.2 VTI VTEC Motegi Ltd Ed Totally standard 4 wheel steer Dyno'd at 194 bhp Cruise control Aircon Parking sensors Runs sweet as a nut :) Only got a couple of mods planned: Type-S grille, decat & BMC for now. Here's a couple of pics 8)
  2. thanks mate, i thought they would look a bit different but still quite subtle as you said.. did i see you're selling yours?? :( Yep, afraid so :( The new owner is collecting today or tomorrow. I'll get another in around 4 years 8)
  3. Really starting to take shape, Steve. Good work :salute: Loving the wheels! Haven't seen any like that before- they usually have a dark centre with a polished lip. Yours are nice and subtle 8)
  4. She looks nice and snug there 8) Hope all goes well, mate- shame you won't be able to make any more shows, but as you say, that's the way it goes sometimes :( There's always next year...
  5. Best deal on a stat kit is from the States. Works out at around £50 delivered AFAIK, and you get everything inc crack pipe. I'll try and find a link.
  6. Paul 20v - spot on. The car will very rarely get out of 'cold map', so will be effectively, on choke the whole time. I had one for a few months- brilliant drop in oil temp- 10-15 degrees! However, fuel consumption went down around 4mpg. Have also heard horror stories of the excess petrol washing oil off engine internals, thus hugely increasing wear after a while. Personally, I wouldn't bother.
  7. Your kidding? :? :( Pretty sure they're oil, cos you could hear it   Feel a little responsible, as I bought them for you...
  8. Stick with it, Andy. Follow little bro's example ;) Gonna be absolutely cracking once all up and running 8)
  9. Could also be the door membrane. Think you should admit defeat, sell Ron and all your your spare bits, and buy my lovely VR6 ;)
  10. Got it yesterday- thanks, Dave! Absolute quality- much better than the original mild steel part 8)
  11. Good to see you today, Jon. Ron is coming along nicely. Get revising! :hitler:
  12. Check out the ISV pipework thoroughly, for small splits.
  13. Great post, Kev + thanks for stickying :) I wouldn't pay full whack for any of the expensive filters- got my BMC for £35 on Ebay. Cleaned it and it's as good as new 8) You've got me thinking about those cams now... ;)
  14. Mods - can we sticky this? Seems worthwhile to have it all in one place. 3corsameal- some interesting points there. Cotton filters do get clogged over time, but you just give them a good clean and re-oil (lightly). Cleaned my BMC a couple of months ago. Personally, I'd say it has to be a BMC or some sort of CAI like the Carbonio.
  15. Nice one- bet that paintwork will look top dollar when it's all properly clean 8) Gonna have a go myself- I'm hoping for some Megs clay, SRP and an orbital polisher for my birthday. Next step is to get some Dodo Juice Blue Velvet and some Megs step 3 8)
  16. Realised that the horrible clanking sound was due to a snapped droplink  Thankfully, a cheap fix - will get it done Saturday :)

    VR6 idle

On cold start, the idle should be up around 1000, but should be even. It will then drop slowly to around 650rpm. As said, give the ISV a good clean and check for airleaks in the intake pipework.
  18. A 4x4, you shall have! Can't wait to see them 8)
  19. Should have posted a while ago- mine is fine now. Changed the ISV again. Nice and smooth with no stalling.
  20. Come on Vaughan, get those new rims on! We need pics 8)
