Quick Poll - How Long Have You Had Your Current Corrado?
CazzaVR replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
Corrados reunited- now there's an idea! Where the hell do I start? I know Phatvalver on here has just sold my last 16v and I think Gazman (hasn't been on here for aaaaages) still has my black VR. Nearly forgot- Nikki (M15 VW) still has my first VR. That leaves 3 unaccounted for. -
Oh dear! :( Could just be the stat housing... I'm trying to be optimistic! You have to remove the alternator to get to it (speak to CrazyDave  ).
-
Nice! They've gotta be one of the best sounding cars around at the mo, along with the V8 Vantage 8)

Checking of tyre pressure, oil and coolant.
CazzaVR replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Oil and coolant every couple of weeks. The current VR has only used 1/2 litre of oil since I bought it 16 months ago. It's gone through plenty of coolant though... Don't check tyres too often- can usually tell if they need inflating. -
Quick Poll - How Long Have You Had Your Current Corrado?

Had my VR6 for 16 months. It's my 7th Corrado, and the longest I've kept one :) -
Sounds superb, Rob. Must be fantastic to finally have it all finished 8) Never been in a Rotrexed C- how does the power delivery compare to a Vortech?
-
Chris, sounds like good progress. Any pics?
-
Looking superb, Dave 8) The red/black works so well. Wish I could find some decent, cheap leather!
-
grimmy's red vr - been busy with lots of mdf page5

Still looks really sweet. Like both sets of wheels! 8) -
Think it's more like £120 :? There is a seller on Ebay who sells a pattern part, which actually works perfectly for around £35...
-
That's cos most people change them ;) The 2.0 8v came with Westwood wheels as standard. These were also available as an option for the 2.0 16v. Not many of these around.

Some lovely kit you've got there 8) . You can use the y-piece - I've got one. You just need to cut the hose. I wouldn't be happy cutting a new Samco, but you could try it with the old hose. Then I guess it would look out of place with the other Samcos. Hmmm. I'd leave it tbh!

So what is the physical difference between the 20VT Engines?
CazzaVR replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in Engine Bay
Have a look on http://www.briskoda.net -loads of info on there. There are a couple of guys running remapped 4x4s with excellent power. Just get a vRS front bumper + boot spoiler from a scrappy ;) -
What a moron! Did it myself a few years back ;) Ran out of fuel on a mini roundabout in morning rush hour  Funnier still, my mate turned up with a can of petrol, put it in my car, then went off in his car again and ground to a holt within seconds cos he'd run out of gas too! You couldn't have scripted it better! Coming over next week then?
-
Dave & Stu, any progress on this, chaps? :)
-
No worries, Karl :) Thanks for sending the money so quickly, too 8)
-
Yep, check out those relays. Also worth changing the ignition switch- make sure you get one from VW though.
-
Not totally sure what's involved, but Stealth do it. Maybe worth emailing Vince @ Stealth- he'll tell you what's involved + he's normally pretty quick with his replies :)
-
Oops, sold the suspension on Ebay the other day...
-
That's a reasonably interesting list you've got there... not to mention pics of Recaros, BBS RX2s, anthracite Speedlines, Bristol Volksfest, Stealth etc etc ;) oh yeh, and the odd pic of a Corrado in one piece  Maybe you could harness the power of your farts! By your reckoning, you could prob run a K04 of them! 225bhp standard... it would literally go like stink! Seriously though mate, your doing a grand job with it- I would've sold it by now! It'll all be worth it 8) Get a 2.0l bottom end on there and flow the head! Webber Firebreather too + WUR mod

That's a fantastic tip! Any pics?

GSF/Eurocar parts radiators (are they any good??)
CazzaVR replied to stevie_f_2004's topic in Suppliers Forum
From personal experience, the only pattern parts that seem worth the bother are Febi ones, which are excellent quality. I would only buy a rad from VW though... -
It's pretty easy. I'd get new mounting parts and the rubber grommet (Gold MK V item) for the bulk head too- don't cost much. Remove the fusebox cover/tray in front of the driver's seat. Just tape the new cable securely onto the end of the old one in the footwell. Pull through carefully from the engine side, into the enginge bay. Detach from old cable. Route through the new grommet (you have to cut the top off it) and then into the engine bay, where the old cable is. You can remove the old cable at the same time as fitting the new, so you can see exactly where it needs to go. Attach the clip in the footwell. Really easy! I would defo remove the grille so you can manually pull down on the cable if you haven't tightened it enough to open the bonnet. May take 2-3 attempts to get the tightness right.

14 (oops, I've made it 15!) pages and counting... about a crossmember and a steering rack... Coming soon to The CF for the next 3 months: Revenge of the Rack: It won't fit Seriously though, Ron is gonna be real minty! 8) (in 5 year's time)

Good work, Mr Monkey 8) RAK ATTAK! You've really been on the rack for such a long time now, good to see it finally finished. I'm racking my brains for more rackisms...
